Hook, Yarn and Trinkets was born from my love of all things crafty and creative. I've loved making things ever since I was a little girl and will now happily spend hours crafting, crocheting, sewing and making. In fact if I didn't have to have a real job, I'd probably do it 24/7! I'll try my hand at pretty much anything but my current love is crochet, namely cute and cuddly amigurumi style soft toys. I love the look of these creatures and how I can add my own style to them, giving them their own character. I welcome suggestions and constructive criticism so if you see something on your travels that you think I should be trying out, just let me know! Likewise if you see anything on my own page that you'd love to see in a different size or colour. I hope you enjoy pottering around my little page and remember..

You may or may not know that when I’m not crocheting, I’m also a leader with my local Scout group and help with our Beavers and Cubs.

To help fundraise, I’ve been making little Creme Egg covers. Mostly bunnies and chicks, but also a few dinosaurs 😁

I’m hoping to make at least 50 before Easter and they will be available to buy with all proceeds going back to Scouts 💜

It’s not very often that I work in squares, but I was asked if I could make a Shell Stitch Granny blanket back in early September.

The lady did not know if she would be having a niece or nephew and asked for these neutral colours (Lincoln Green, silver and white) with a little matching hat and also a teddy bear appliqué.

As it happens, the blanket was finished on the same day as the baby was born. And it was a girl! 💚

My most recent make has been this lovely Larksfoot blanket and matching little bunny.

I was asked to make these in greys as the gender of the baby is not yet known.
