Afternoon! Quick note to say Absolute Bobbins is closing its doors as I set off to pastures new. This business was created while I had two small children, just after my mum died. With my friends at Firespiral Slings I was able to spend time creating lovely accessories in the comfort of my own home. It’s seen me through life changing surgeries, Covid lockdowns but now it’s time to pack up my big scissors and return to college. Many thanks to everyone who has ordered and bought from me, supported me, liked and shared posts on social media and cheered me on. The website will be closing very soon as will my [email protected] email address.

If anyone is looking for an Absolute Bobbins bag, I’m looking to sell my Greystoke Blood Moon. It’s in amazing condition just a couple of threads loose at the bottom of the pocket. See pics.
It has original 1970s Paddington Bear lining, dark grey rings and a zipped back pocket as well as the usual open front pocket. Also internal pockets and water bottle pocket.
Back zip is red and the main zip is dark grey. Also waterproof fabric on the bottom. Only selling as I have bought some more fabric to make myself another bag and I can’t keep storing them! £60 including postage but open to sensible offers.

Amongst the miriad of jobs I have on at the moment, this has been a particularly wonderful one.
A customer’s torn pillow case from a 1970s set of Womble bedding has been transformed into a decorative cushion. I got my hands on a Womble gold piece of material for the back of the cushion and added Womble gold bobble trimming around the edges.
I think the Wombles motto of ‘make good use of bad rubbish’ is a bit extreme, but I think Great Uncle Bulgaria would definitely approve 💛

You can now pay for sewing slots and ready mades through PayPal on the Absolute Bobbins website.

You can still use BACS but I know PayPal makes life a bit easier for customers.
