It's that time of year when we announce our annual Flowersmiths festive preview nights. This year we will be hosting them on the 20th and 22nd October between 4.30 and 8pm. For anyone who hasn't attended before, they are a wonderful, cosy evening with mulled wine, mince pies and a first look at all our Christmas displays, with a fabulous 10% off all stock on these two evenings only. We have customers who come every year and bring along friends and family as a tradition!

The evenings are free to attend but we do ask for you to book a slot as we have limited spaces. To do this, drop us a message, call the shop on 01204 697924 or pop in and let one of the team know.

It's chrysanthemum season! Often seen as an 'old fashioned' bloom, but we love these beautiful, blowsy flowers and there's some lovely varieties available. We especially love this deep plum bloom, perfect for autumn 💜

(Maxine here) - just a little reflection for a Monday morning, as having time away from the shop with my little boy has given me the break I needed to remember why I love being a florist. If you believe the media these days, they would have us think that the world is full of nothing but hate and negativity. But a quick Google tells me that the UK floristry industry alone is worth over a billion pounds, and flowers are only ever sent through love! Whether it's a birthday or anniversary gift, a get well soon, a funeral, sympathy or wedding flowers, a new baby or even thanks for taking my pet to the vet (we had that last week!), all the bouquets and arrangements we are lucky enough to make are made because of love in one form or another. Just a little something to remember when the world feels tough, and maybe a little reminder to send a bunch of flowers to someone you love 💜💜

It's hydrangea season once again! We love these beautiful, blowsy blooms, and even just a few stems can make a real statement in a vase. We have them available in the shop most days but please order ahead if you have any special colour requests 💜
