Now, I run a small business, bringing hand-dyed yarns to fellow makers through my website and Etsy shop.

Christmas sock knitting is underway using my Holly and Ivy hand-dyed sock set.
For this pair, I decided to alternate the green and Vanilla on the cuffs and stranded colourwork bands. I also plan to reverse the colours on the heels and toes so that the socks coordinate without matching exactly.
Do you prefer perfectly matching socks, or a coordinating pair with the colours reversed?

A new pair of socks for my husband, knitted using my Viola and Vanilla hand-dyed yarns.
I used the helical knitting method to alternate the two colours and create these narrow stripes without a noticeable join.
I am adding a heel flap and gusset. It is not my favourite heel to knit, but I am hoping it will give my husband a better fit.
Which sock heel do you prefer to knit: a heel flap and gusset or a short-row heel?

My Sweet Shop Blanket is beginning to grow, with 12 colourful squares now completed.
I am knitting it with my DK semi-solid mini skeins, using Vanilla as the main colour. I love seeing how each new colour looks against the neutral background, although deciding which colour to use next may be the hardest part.

I have bought Summer Lee's year-long Four Seasons Sock Set collection, with three new seasonal sock patterns released four times throughout the year.
One of the first patterns was Midnight Cats Socks, and I could not resist casting them on, despite already having far too many socks on my needles.
I am using yarn hand dyed by me: Wisteria for the main colour, Black / Charcoal for the cats, and Neon Green for their eyes. Those bright little eyes really bring the cats to life.
How many pairs of socks do you currently have on the needles? Please tell me I am not the only one who keeps starting another pair.

A little project inspiration for my new Infinity Cowl yarn set.
I knitted this striped Infinity Cowl - Scarf using colourful semi-solid mini skeins balls with a light brown main colour between each stripe. I love how the neutral shade brings all the different colours together.
The yarn set includes:
24 x 5g hand-dyed 4 Ply / Sock mini skein balls
A light brown main skein in your choice of 50g or 100g

I have started a new project - the Sweet Shop Blanket by Laura Penrose.
I am using my hand-dyed DK 10g mini skeins with Vanilla as the main colour. The soft neutral background really allows all the little pops of colour to stand out.
It should be a lovely project for using lots of different mini skeins, and I am looking forward to watching the blanket grow.
Do you enjoy choosing each colour as you go, or would you plan the full colour order before starting?

Scrappy socks
This was my first time using the helical knitting method for a full sock. I love how it lets the colours flow around the socks, although I struggled to keep my tension even when changing colours.
If you have tried helical knitting, do you have any tips for keeping the tension even at the colour changes?
I also tried a heel flap and gusset instead of my usual short-row heel. The socks are slightly baggy over the instep, so next time I am going to shorten the heel flap and see if that gives me a better fit.
Has anyone else adjusted the length of their heel flap to improve the fit?
Knitted using colourful 5g mini skeins with a soft peach contrast for the cuffs, heels and toes.
