So that is it!

The end of Games Central at 34 high street.
I want to again thank each and every one of you who have visited the shop over the last 5 years. Wether it be to buy something, chat about gaming or just a general catch up it’s been an absolute blast.
We have achieved so much in this time. We have bought people together, held local competitions and nights where people come out to play and most importantly bought you a completely different buying experience to the norm locally.
Not many can say they have done their dream jobs in their lifetime but I can firmly tick that box. I will miss the smiles on people’s faces when they see things that remember them of their playing days, I will miss my regular catch-ups and customers who I now class as friends. I will not miss the Saturdays sacrificed or family events I couldn’t attend down to my job or the financial worry that every shop owner goes through on a daily basis. Self-employment especially in shop retail is very rewarding but also can be very stressful. I tip my hat to anyone who takes the plunge like I did.
In terms of looking forward as a business we shall continue to use this page so please don’t leave it! Firstly though it’s time to take stock of what we have got and get back a little bit of that family time missed.
Will you see us in again in the future in a similar shop setting? Never say never. What I do know is that despite all that’s gone on outside that front door in the past 5 years we have seen it through and completed our mission we set out from the start.

For now from Games Central it’s Game Over but will we press start to continue? Who knows.

Introducing you to the Games Central MVP! Rudolfs Jaross was here nearly as much as me! He visited more times than anyone. We chat games and wrestling 5 days a week sometimes. Next week will be weird without seeing him! Thanks so much for your support mate. Regulars like you kept me going 🎮🕹️❤️🎮🕹️❤️
