A fantastic little Tamiya Lunchbox kit all constructed for a customer

As with all tamiya kits I've left this unstickered as that's the customers choice for what stickers they have! 😊

Fab fun with a brushed 540 motor and 2.4ghz controller system all fitted and ready to rock.
Just as tamiya intended in 1987!
Not much has changed (if anything) on these kits and they still use the same castings!

**Quick Update**

Currently moved from the old digs to a larger premises, in the stages of settling in and I have a bit of a car backlog!

Hopefully I should have them done in 2 weeks roughly and then be able to accept new customer jobs.

This new site is exciting as it should allow me to stock more parts and get everyone RC'ing quicker!

A quick repair to a DeeRc suspension and shock.
Spot the difference!

These cars are a real hoot for younger children and are very cost effective, The parts are a bit expensive in comparison, The customer wanted a quick fix and got it.

A small fee to make 1 good shock out of 2 bad ones for a very small fee, saving the customer money on new ones.

HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERN

Good morning RC fans 😁

As we are now in the summer and everyone is getting their RCs out of the shed or loft from last year, I am very busy with repairs (which is great!) I have had a lot of these situations.

If you have lipo batteries stored then PLEASE check on them, even if they are in storage charge.
If there is any doubt in their stability or reliability then please cut the lead off and leave them in a salt water bucket over night and dispose of safely

It isn't worth the £50 these things cost versus the damage they will cause.
LIPOS ARE DANGEROUS

This is a lipo recently given to me as part of a large repair batch and the customer was totally unaware it was in the box.

This is a ticking bomb.

Please check your lipos today if you have some that have been stashed away.

For reference, this lipo should be flat, it is solid and 3 times the size it should have been.
It was stored in a customer's garage in a box with sharp tools.

If you're in any doubt then I'm happy to help, drop the page a message with pictures of the battery and the cell voltage levels.

HSP Tyrannosaurus nitro RC truck in for a repair.
Customer believed it to be a bearing that was faulty, turns out the whole engine had seized up which is why it wasn't turning over.

After a chemical clean and build back up it was nice and free.
Converted to 2wd as the front differential had broken and you cannot get the 1st gen parts anymore :(

New centre differential bearings
Repair of diff mount and re-helicoiled
Put back together
Send it on its way!

Ultrasonic clean and an oil soak over night to free it all up, hopefully should run good as new when put back together! Soon find out!

HPI savage gt6 XL flux

An absolute monster of a 6s car, knocks the socks off of the comparable alternative brands in my opinion.

Needed a new spur and pinion plus a differential set up.

Arrma bigrock 6s

This arrma had a whole plethora of issues, including badly fitted upgrades in the past and faulty esc plus rounded off hex bolts which meant the motor mount couldn't be removed.

I have cut and drilled the old motor mount off, fitted after market hop ups and also a beautiful castle creations 6s combo.

With the gearing set up it should be capable of 70mph +++
With the punch set to 4 it also won't back flip to ruin the lovely body!

A nice Traxxas xmaxx 8s brushless monster truck in for some repairs and bling upgrades.

No point in having all the go without the show!

New motor as it had seized
New vitavon steering rack set bling
New vitavon differential covers to bling up the front
Gears meshed and a few bearings replaced.
