🎣 RICHARD – WHY CHANGE A WINNING FORMULA?

Another three-night session and another cracking result for Richard!

With strong south-westerly winds and plenty of rain forecast, the plan was simple: get back into the same swim that produced the goods last week and stick with what was working.

Luckily, the swim was free, and Richard managed to get the rods out just before the rain arrived.

Why change a winning formula?

Once again, Richard put his faith in Hobo Armour end tackle, Nutrabaits EnerGize boilies and Jurassic Particles, giving the carp a combination they clearly couldn't resist.

What was originally planned as two nights soon became three… and it proved well worth staying!

⚖️ Biggest at an agonising 29lb 15oz!
🪞 Including 2 mirrors, which are considerably harder to find on the bank than they are swimming around the lake!

Four fish were unfortunately lost along the way, but with 12 carp landed, this was still another seriously productive session.

Sometimes carp fishing doesn't need to be complicated. Find something that works, have confidence in it and keep doing it.

🎣 Al – 8 CARP ON A TRICKY SYNDICATE! 🎣

What a fantastic weekend for Jurassic team member Al on his syndicate!

It’s a notoriously difficult water and one that hasn’t always been kind to him, but this weekend it all came together in style. 💥

Al went with his trusted JP2 mix, with a scattering of CC Moore boilies over the top.

On the business end, a Pro-Stim Liver Pop-Up presented Ronnie-style on a size 6 Kamakura Krank proved irresistible.

Eight carp from a difficult syndicate is some result! 👏🦖

🍂 Autumn Particle Fishing – Jurassic Style! 🍂

When the leaves start to fall, particle fishing for carp really comes into its own – and when done right, it can be absolutely devastating. Here at Jurassic Particles, we know autumn is all about keeping those carp grubbing confidently on the spot.

🎯 Topping up is key – Getting the fish feeding is one thing, but keeping them there is another. As a general rule, fire out 8–10 spods after each fish. Always get a fresh rig positioned first, then top up afterwards – you’ll keep that feeding rhythm going nicely.
🌽 Keep it tight – Unlike boilie fishing, don’t go spreading bait all over the place. Carp feeding on particles stick close together, so focus on a tight 4–6ft wide area, with rigs side by side over the top. You can always drop one just off the edge too – that can nick you an extra bite!

💛 Blend in smartly – A classic autumn spod mix often includes maize or yellow baits – carp absolutely love them. If your spot’s full of yellow flecks, your yellow hookbait will blend in perfectly for those cautious feeders.

🥜 Mix it up – Carp can get totally locked onto the small seeds in a mix, so don’t forget to add some bigger food items like chopped nuts, maize, or crushed boilies. This helps keep them guessing – and gives you better hookbait options.

🧂 Add a pinch of rock salt – Carp can’t find salt naturally, but they crave it. Adding some to your prepped mix gives them what they’re after and keeps them coming back.
💧 Don’t forget the oil – A bit of oil in your mix helps create those lovely slicks when fish feed. H**p is naturally oily, but an extra splash lets you read the water – when the surface flattens off, you’ll know they’re on the bait!

This autumn, keep your mix tight, your bait rich, and your feeding consistent – and the results will speak for themselves. 🎣

🦖 JURASSIC PARTICLES CATCH REPORT 🦕

🔥 20 CARP IN THREE NIGHTS FOR RICHARD! 🔥

What a session this turned into for Team Jurassic’s Richard!

Firstly, a big thank you from Richard to his wife, who completely understands that when the conditions look right, sometimes you’ve just got to get on the bank! 🎣

After speaking with a friend already at the lake, Richard decided on Airfield Lake and spent the morning doing his homework. Using Deeper Maps+ on the big screen, he studied the area, worked out his distances and planned the safest approach.

With water levels dropping dramatically, previously straightforward areas are now revealing bars and boulders, making accuracy and fish safety more important than ever.

His first-choice swim was ruled out, so Richard returned to an area he’d fished a few weeks earlier. With around 3½ feet of water leading into the deeper section and strong winds forecast, it looked like the right place to be.

The baiting approach was positive from the start. Around 3kg of mixed Nutrabaits boilies went out alongside shelf-life Jurassic Particles, with 24mm boilies available to keep the area topped up.

On the business end, Richard opted for Ronnie-style rigs incorporating Hobo Armour Terminal Tackle and 24mm hardened EnerGize hookbaits.

Then it all kicked off... 💥

🏆 Biggest: 27lb 3oz Common

An incredible three nights and a result Richard certainly wasn’t expecting!

That 27lb 3oz Common topped off a brilliant session where preparation, location, changing water levels and the weather all came together perfectly.

Twenty carp, fifteen twenties and three over 27lb. That’s some serious angling! 👏🦖

Well done, Richard. An absolute belter of a session!

Karl keeps grinding! 💪🎣

Another frustrating session on the big pit, with the carp still holding up in the out of bounds. But anyone who knows Karl knows he's not one for giving in!

A change of scenery saw him head over to his syndicate for a quick overnighter. With an early start needed this morning, time was limited, but the move paid off with this lovely stockie mirror on the bank. 🐟👌

The winning combination was DNA Baits The Bug, backed up with Jurassic Particles tiger nuts and h**p. 🦖🔥

Karl apologises for the catch reports being a little less consistent lately, but there's a good reason…

The big pit has got him by the balls, and he's not giving in until he gets his reward! 😂💪

🔥 KARL SMASHES HIS PB – 46LB! 🔥

Sometimes you just need to reset.

After a tough summer of long sessions, very little sleep, blanks and plenty of hard work for little reward, Karl decided enough was enough. He took a week away from the bank to recharge the batteries.

And what a way to come back! 💥

A stunning 46lb common and a brand-new PB! 🎣🏆

Persistence pays off, but sometimes knowing when to take a break is just as important.
