At the Sovereign Shopping Centre we are lucky enough to work with some extraordinary people who are dedicated to giving back. Every year, we are proud to donate a unit to the Rotary Club to host their Charity Christmas Grotto, and the results are in.
It was a record breaking season✨822 children visited the grotto in just 9 days 💰£5,550 raised for incredible local causes, £1,850 of that is heading to the Sovereign Shopping Centre’s nominated charity, Bournemouth Foodbank.
A massive thank you to every at Westbourne , Southbourne and Boscombe Rotary club for their tireless work. It’s an honour to support the magic you create for the community.

🎄🎺 Boscombe, prepare your ears… in a good way! 🎺🎄

Tomorrow — Friday 12th December at 12pm sharp — the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s mighty brass ensemble will be playing In the Centre for 45 minutes of pure festive fabulousness.

Yes, that’s right. Live brass. In a shopping centre. At lunchtime. 😄

The BSO themselves said it best:
“Calling Boscombe! Our BSO brass ensemble is heading over to the Sovereign Shopping Centre this Friday 12 December from midday to 12:45pm to serenade shoppers 🎺 If you want to get into the festive spirit, these cheery tunes are sure to get you in the mood 🎶 From Christmas carols to classics… this will be a fanfare to remember. And we can’t wait to see you there!”

So come along, grab a mince pie (or three) from our great cafes, and let the brass section blast you into the Christmas spirit. It’s free, it’s festive, and it’s definitely more fun than pretending to finish your shopping. 🎅✨

Good news, festive friends — Santa is back in his Sovereign Shopping Centre Grotto this Sunday, 7th December, from 11:00 to 15:00! 🎄

He’s rested, recharged, and reportedly eaten his body weight in mince pies overnight… so he’s in an excellent mood. 😂

The wonderful Westbourne & Boscombe Rotary Club are once again running the grotto, and as always, all profits go to charity. ❤️
Entry is just £8 — a small price to pay for Christmas cheer and Santa’s world-famous “dad jokes.”

Bring the little ones, bring your Christmas jumpers, bring your best festive spirit — Santa’s ready for you! 🎁✨
