Also available in store is a custom order service where if you are after anything we don't have in stock i.e. particular size, design, band, vinyl etc or something a bit more obscure we will do our very best to order it in for you!

Just to let everyone know that a few of the vinyl sections downstairs in the shop are looking a bit empty due to us having had a busy August, thank you so much as always for all your support, I'm working on restocking the dance and hip-hop/r&b in particular at the moment but it may take me a little while to grade and price everything before stock appears on the shelves so please bear with us! Thank you to anybody who has visited over the summer and taken the time to pop in, we appreciate you all xx

Has gone a bit mad at the shop for new arrivals this week, loads of vinyl - had some drum n' bass in which is always a bonus, around 30 12" which have been cleaned and will be out for Saturday, had a nice little dub/roots lot turn up yesterday too, all in great condition - some choice Gregory Isaacs including Slum In Dub, and a few rarities. And then today we had an 80's collection, predominantly LP's but with some good 12" singles mixed in - plenty of Tears For Fears, OMD, Echo & The Bunnymen, Human League, A-Ha etc, just to give a few examples. Never rains but it pours at Rosered eh, will take a while to get everything out for sale but we're working on it! xx

Nice little batch of 80's hard-rock/metal in this week - Fates Warning, Cinderella, Dokken, W.A.S.P., Madam X, TKO, Pantera, Samson, Raven, Magnum, Stryper, King Diamond etc! Will try and get them out by tomorrow xx

Live music in the shop tomorrow from local singer-songwriter Grant Hawley, who will be playing a 90 minute set of original material, starting at 2.30 so please pop down if you can and show your support, it's also vintage market day so lots going on in the Royal Arcade, hope to see you all tomorrow xx

Couple of nice 90's bits hitting the shop tomorrow, shoegazers Lush's second album on limited edition 2 x 10" vinyl, and a 12" promo of Ice Hockey Hair by Super Furry Animals, had some nice Pink Floyd reissues in on vinyl this week too as well as some Prodigy and Madonna - Division Bell, Dark Side Of The Moon and A Momentary Lapse Of Reason. Restocked the disco 12" this week too xx

One of my favourite albums on the shop playlist today, Sean O'Hagan is something of a genius. No amount of superlatives could do justice to how lovely this album is - think a modern-day Pet Sounds for songcraft, with Stereolab's ear for warm analogue arrangements, and you wouldn't be too far off xx

Few bits hitting the New Arrivals this week, is it just me or does Terry Riley look more like Terry Nutkins off the Really Wild Show on that album cover?! A Rainbow In Curved Air is a beautiful album incidentally, Mike Oldfield drew inspiration from Side A for Tubular Bells, and the progressive rock band Curved Air are named after it.
