Woohoo! We can’t wait to attend this event next week 📚☀️ £1 from every book purchased at RRP on the day will benefit Sandford St Martin’s with extra books to benefit all pupils for years to come 🙌

📢 NEW STOCK ALERT‼️ It may have taken us ALL DAY to do a one hour task due to total brain meltage 🫠🫠🫠 but these gorgeous new books are finally unpacked and up on the website! VERY excited by the new Wiska Wildflower title by Harriet Muncaster 🌸 The Biggest Cat In The Book is completely CATASTIC 🐈‍⬛ and hotly anticipated Dr Ranj’s Human Body Encyclopedia will prove popular with schools and budding biologists! Which of these titles takes YOUR fancy? 👀

“Do you want a go on my bucket?” Not sure I’ve heard that phrase since the days of my misspent youth 🤔🤣🙈 but this ridiculous look ACTUALLY WORKS to cool you down. FACT! It’s better than all the fans in our house put together to make one gigantic wind tunnel. Iced water + feet = regulated and cool 😎 This is how I’ll be working from home tomorrow! If you haven’t tried this method yet then go and get a bucket now and some ice and water then pop back on here to tell me whether you feel better… 🙌

As a sidenote… my husband has now declared if England win the match tonight he’ll have to have his feet in a bucket of water to watch all remaining England matches in the World Cup 🤣 superstition or some such malarkey! I will 💯 percent hold him to this statement!!!

LOVING the summer festival vibes ☀️ well, to be slightly more accurate… school summer fair vibes… 🤣 maybe not quite on the scale of cool as Glasto 😎 but it’s still spending quality time outside chatting in the sunshine, music, selling books, street food and fun times!!!! British summertime (when it works!) is THE BEST 🎉📚🤩

Imagine our total shock and surprise when we checked our 10,000 Hours Of Fun Reading campaign stats this morning to find one entry of 6,700,000,000 hours 😯🤔 Out of curiosity we calculated this keen pupil to have been reading for 279 million days… 🤣📚😳

This has messed up both the Hill View Primary campaign clock and the main challenge clock for every other school participating. We have made our wizard of a web developer aware who will fix the issue as soon as possible 🙌

The funniest part is that on questioning the over-inflated entry, we received a reply saying the actual time should have been 6.7 hours and it was just a typo… 🤣 We then asked for clarification on how many minutes this equated to… but apparently this calculation was too complex 😅

Lesson learnt… add a security measure to counteract the wise-guys 😜 There’s always one, isn’t there?!

A fantastic day yesterday working with the utterly brilliant author Andy Seed at Livingstone Road Primary Federation 📚 Andy never fails to deliver the most memorable and inspiring events and it’s such a pleasure to support Andy with the book sales and help to generate school fundraising too. Thank you so much to the families and staff who snapped up a whopping 115 books which has generated £115 in school book fundraising to purchase new books for all pupils to enjoy - how amazing is that?!

It was truly heartwarming to hear from all of the children how much fun they had! This school has one of the best reading cultures we’ve encountered over the last 9 years of bookselling which is credit to the tremendous teachers who clearly love books, sharing a genuine passion of reading for pleasure and inspiring their pupils every day. 🙌❤️👏

What a wonderful event on Friday at the Courthill Infant School Summer Fair ☀️ These Courthill School PTA hosted events are always EPIC and raise vital funds for school improvements! We are always warmly welcomed by the whole school community, thank you so much to everyone who stops to chat, browse and buy! 🥰 For every book purchased £1 is donated back to Courthill to spend on new books for school and the Summer Fair this year raised £80 in commission plus school will benefit from a share of our termly Community Book Fund too! Amazing result, well done everyone 📚❤️🙌

What a beautiful new library space stocked with truly engaging and vibrant books 😍 We were so pleased to be asked to support Kingsleigh with the supply of some of their new library stock. As we offer an educational discount we helped to stretch their school budget further 📚 It’s so lovely to read about the Canford community initiative supporting this school library upgrade too - our local community working together to achieve a fantastic reading legacy which will be enjoyed by so many children for years to come ❤️
