A great one to get finished 👌

We’ve just completed the installation of this bespoke woven Axminster carpet at the historic Holdsworth House Hotel, Halifax.

The carpet was specially woven by Wilton Carpets and installed over 10mm Contract Crumb underlay, using Gekko G47 tackifier adhesive.

The real challenge on this one was making sure the design remained properly aligned as it flowed through three adjoining areas, openings and onto the steps — well worth the extra care when you see the finished result.

We also refurbished and reused the existing brass stair trims, keeping them in character with the beautiful historic interior.

Holdsworth House itself dates back to 1633, so it was important that the new flooring complemented rather than competed with the original oak panelling, stonework, fireplaces and period features.

A cracking result and one we’re very pleased with. 👌
