Many of you have asked at the shows how to create this water effect, it’s a watercolour technique and I use our Mini Blending Brushes to create it. I’ve taught quite a few of you how to but I know it can be difficult to master so there’s now an easier way ….. Here’s the Shimmering Waves Stamp! It’s taken from a photograph of my own watercolouring, and I’ve converted it to a stamp which is repeatable.
Use it for seas, lakes, reflections. Fab when used with varying tones of inks.

Moonlight card, here's during the making of it. It honestly doesn't take long to do.
I always tell people at shows 'Don't overthink it!'
Put the washi dot on for the moon, stamp the image with Versafine Claire Twilight,
Blend the Memento Paris Dusk wherever you want, darken areas with the Memento Tuxedo Black.
Lift areas with water and tissue (such as clouds, parts of the waves - think where the light from the moon would be shining).
Remove Washi dot (don't forget they are reusable so pop it back on the carrier sheet)
Soften areas with a white pastel pencil and smudge out - I did around the moon, clouds, some of the waves and the shoreline.
Add the moon highlights to the water and some of the waves.
I decided to cut mine down to a square, blended the top edges in where it was missing but left the lower 2 corners unblended as it suited my card but you decide how you want yours to be.
