A handy option for porcelain care. Azpects Easy Seal Porcelain Sealer
We’re now stocking Azpects Easy Seal Porcelain Sealer.
Alongside other porcelain care products already on the market, this is another useful option for installers and maintenance work. It’s suitable for previously laid and grouted porcelain, so it’s a handy one to keep in mind for aftercare and existing surfaces.
Porcelain is generally very low absorbency, so in a lot of cases it doesn’t need sealing in the same way natural stone does. But some people still choose to seal it for a few practical reasons:
🟢 To help with cleaning
Even if the tile itself hardly absorbs anything, dirt, grease, residue, cement haze, grout staining or general site mess can still sit on the surface. Some sealers are used to make that easier to clean off.
🟢 To protect the surface finish
On some porcelains, especially textured or structured ones, muck can cling to the surface pattern. A sealer can sometimes help reduce how much dirt holds on.
🟢 To protect grout joints more than the slab
Often it’s not really the porcelain people are worried about. It’s the grout lines and the overall finished area. Grout is usually much more vulnerable to staining and water ingress than the porcelain itself.
🟢 For easier maintenance on older patios
On previously laid patios, sealing can be used as part of an aftercare or maintenance job, especially where the surface has started picking up dirt, algae or staining in use.
🟢 To improve stain resistance
Porcelain is low porosity, but not always completely immune to staining, especially from things like oil, leaf tannins, grout residue, jointing compounds or metal marks.
🟢 Because some customers want every bit of protection possible
Even where sealing is optional, some installers or homeowners just prefer the extra belt-and-braces approach.
