Slim pickings at the car boot this morning! I did manage to find a few pieces of treasure - my absolute favourite is the Peruvian table runner. The skill and craft that's gone into hand making it is incredible, and I can understand why they're so expensive to buy (mine will be a bargain in comparison)

Another little pootle around the fields this morning, and whilst it wasnt a bumper yield, I got some collapsible shelves which will come in very handy!

The books were a nice buy, the lady i bought them from remembered her relative Theodora, who they were gifted to for her 21st birthday in the 1920s.

The photograph album is another sweet thing, something I always pick up when I spot!

A happy morning wandering round a field!
Sybil felt the need to give all the carnival glass the sniff test - its all Sybil approved!

Im in love with the ink wash harbour scene - that might be a keeper

Chinese carved brooch just took my fancy

Carnival glass and Wedgewood are quick sellers over on Whatnot so I always pick them up when I find them.

Same with the glug jug and the fun leather piggy banks.

Scarab beetle was lonely apparently and so he found his way into my purchases, I actually rather like it!

And the bronze gun dog bookends are a bit of quality!

We only had time for a quick walk round the car boot this morning as we were heading over to Whitby for the day!

I did find some nice bottles and books for my lovely friends wedding centerpiece.

Once in Whitby I found a vintage ring, which has replaced the ring my Dad passed down to me (thats now on a chain around my neck as its too big!)

We had a lovely boat ride, walked steps of doom to the Abbey, ate ice cream and oysters (not together!!)

A great but tiring day, now home and ready for a glass of bubbles!

This is one of my all time favourite stories and yet ive never read the book before! This print is from 1968 but was first published in 1950
