This week we took The Sweetie People on tour with pop-up shops at Lloyds Banking Group and Loop!

Our shop might be closed, but we're usually busier than ever behind the scenes, at events, restocking, packing online orders, or bringing sweet treats to workplaces across Yorkshire.

Apparently another business on Towngate in Wyke has been stirring the pot a little bit! So much so there's been a bit of confusion about the ice cream we serve...I'd like to reassure you all it's not "fake or ****" in their words!

We use premium Italian style gelato because we genuinely believe it's one of the best products available. 🍦❤️ We'd never cut corners on quality, and if you've tried it before, you'll know exactly why so many of you keep coming back.

As always, we'd much rather let our products speak for themselves than comment on anyone else's.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our little independent sweet shop. It genuinely means the world. 💕

After a rough start, having to take down the tables and literally start from scratch because of where the sun was hitting, a bucket load of melted stock and an absolute meltdown 🤣.. we finally managed to re set up with what we had! We are at wyke sports village with our supplies.
Thank you again for the help from the bouncy castle stall, we couldn't have done it without you!

Did you know we now have over 50 types of liquorice in store!
From traditional black liquorice to Dutch, Swedish, salt liquorice, honey liquorice, fruit liquorice and even pepper liquorice! Hard, soft and everything in between!

🚨 Another Public Service Announcement 🚨

To the select few dog owners who seem to think the pavement outside our shop is an acceptable place to leave your dog's "gift"...

It isn't.

Your dog has an excuse. You don't.

We know poo bags exist.

Please pick it up. Nobody wants to dodge landmines on the way in to buy their sweets, and we'd quite like not to spend our mornings wondering whos stood in it.

Don't worry... we've got CCTV here too.

Be a responsible dog owner. Pick it up. It's really not that difficult.

One of my favourite parts of running an independent business is constantly finding ways to keep things fresh for our customers.

A huge thank you to Sunshine Snacks Ltd for spending the morning with us installing three brand new display stands.

Our new £1 Grab Bags, Stix and Popcorn are now in store, adding even more choice to our ever growing range. It's always exciting to introduce something new, especially when it's great value too.

Working with suppliers who genuinely support independent retailers makes such a difference, and we're looking forward to seeing what our customers think of the new additions.

Here's to always keeping the shop evolving! 🍿🍬
