I really struggle to take decent photos of these dresses. Anyway, this is the second reversable dress I've made. Again there is 13 meters of fabric in this and took 6 hours (I think) to make.

I've had very little time this past year to make stuff just for fun, so I've really enjoyed having today to make this experimental, reversable dress and I'm so pleased with how it's turned out. Not the best pics (nothing new there lol) and it needs7 washing to soften the fabric up.There is 14 metres of fabric in this. It's red and black stripe teamed with black with grey spider webs and white spiders. I may take better photos tomorrow.

I haven't posted here mu h this year as I haven't been able to trade, but my business has take. A very different turn. I have been working on project with schools and organisations for Bradford City of culture, the last one almost compete.
It's opened up an avenue of work with a group called The Join Project. I will be doing a coue of art session with them for Halloween. This is the first session I have planned for them, but in doing the prototype, I rather liked the finished product. Witches that are based on my spirit dolls.
If anyone would like to order one they will be ยฃ10 plus p+p (I needed to check the price)
These will be made to order if you would like one, please allow 2 weeks for delivery.
As this is a prototype, the one you receive will be. Such better quality.

I can now wear my dermal anchor uncovered ๐Ÿ˜Š (you can still see the plaster mark๐Ÿ˜‚)
It's sitting nice and flat now, which is a relief because it looked like it was rejecting for a few days. I can only assume it was just general movement.

Cloak jacket in dark blue denim. I will not be making another one in denim as this was a nightmare to make with it being so heavy. It does have pockets this time, but sadly I made them too low down, so I can still put things in them but sadly I can't put my hands in them.
I may shorten the sleeves too, to reduce the puff when I get time, but otherwise, I love this one as it can be worn with anything.

I made this purple/maroon cloak about 6 years ago, and only worn it 3 times, as I was never keen on it, for some reason. so I've now added my signature sleeves to this one to (after the success of adding sleeves to the black/grey stars cloak) and I love it so much now, and I especially love it with a corset belt.
The only thing I need now, is to sew on some buckle fastenings on, when they arrive.
The only thing that would make me love this more, would be pockets, but I think I might end up losing the integrity of the structure if I try putting them in now, but that might be something to try on the next one make from scratch.

Some of you may remember, that I made a cloak some time ago (at least a year ago) but it never sold and I never wore it because the shoulder fitment was too big for me and I didn't have anywhere to wear that kind of cloak, so today, I decided to add sleeves to it, so it's more of a coat (and therefore more wearable)
Forgive the pictures, it's not easy photographing something this size ๐Ÿ˜†

I've ended up running behind on my stitch work. It's come as a surprise because I love and am used to stitching, yet I just came up against a complete mental block. I think it's because I've surprised myself with the sketching and have loved the sketching which is new to me. So I've taken my tutors advice today and just played with my stitch as what stitch I have done had been very structured)and essentially boring) and not very playful/experimental like my sketch book.
So today we have a mushroom, copies From my drawing, made with glitter fabric, stuffed cotton, paper straws, tule, wool and all free motion embroidered over, and a little bit of printing straight off my artifact.
(Though I do have to admit, it does remind me more of a jelly fish than a toad stool๐Ÿ˜†)
Now into the next piece

Free motion embroidered repeating pattern, designed from part of my 3d printed frog (the foot)
Live the pattern that has appeared in the negative space. However, I have embroidered one of the pieces the wrong way around (,typical of me, despite checking them all before I embroidered it). It isn't too noticeable when you don't know it's there, but I know it's there, so it's really irritating me.

One of my project prices for Uni. When I first did them, they were technically correct, the had the all the details like the tarnish on the handles, all done with various materials (as this task was about the grounding used rather than the stitch) on a glitter background, yet they looked totally boring! (How is that even possible when there's glitter involved? ๐Ÿ˜‚) Even the tutor agreed when I said this in my presentation (as this was the one I chose for the question, what surprised you the most) then in the critique part of the presentation, someone suggested adding stitch to create an echo, so I did. They are now greatly improved, but I'm still not overly enamoured by them. Think it's a case of I'm just bored of working in black and wait. I'm very much looking forward to working in colour.

Second weekend at college completely, and just like last time, I've lived it.
I didn't go on feeling apprehensive as I felt I was behind, and it turns out I am a little behind on the stitch work as I'd got the hand in dates the wrong way around, but it's nothing that I can't catch up on. I am again, still favouring sketching over stitching, but I am looking forward to combining the two.
These are pictures from class work, we've worked with bleach (which I really enjoyed) making motives, repeat patterns and. Block printing. The pictures aren't the best (as usual) but I can see our learning curve/development and where it's going.
When you look at my repeated motives, squint your eyes and you'll see a second pattern appearing in the negative space (something I learnt today)
I am however feeling better about being slightly behind as my tutor had said that we are all on track for a pass.
