This week, is in Orchard Antiques down in The Core… and he’s made himself rather comfortable!

He’s found this rather lovely Danish stick-back rocking chair in pine and beech, priced at £135.

As always, it’s an entertaining watch, complete with a little tune to himself at the end! (We couldn’t resist keeping that bit in).

Introducing Roger from and his brilliantly bonkers lighting!

Quite where Roger gets his ideas from, we don’t know… but we love them!

There’s a light made from the cylinder head of a Suzuki, another from an Indian Army water bottle and, standing proudly in the corner of the room is a magnificent trombone lamp. It comes complete with a colour change remote control for the bulb that’s cleverly positioned in the bell of the trumpet!

All of Roger’s work comes complete with a huge label that clearly describes the piece he’s created.

You’ll find his one of a kind lighting down in The Core. Here, we’ve captured just a few of his creations and the enthusiasm that goes into making them.

This week, is in Studio Potts & Glass, admiring their incredible collection of paperweights.

There’s plenty here to catch your eye but if this display doesn’t give you enough choice, they have another stall waiting to be discovered on the main floor!

A glimpse behind the scenes and a new service to share with dealers and customers as we catch up with Colin from thefurniturerestorer.

Colin may be relatively new to Instagram, but he certainly isn’t new to furniture restoration, with years of experience and craftsmanship behind his work.

We caught up with him in the workshop at The Antique Village, carefully bringing this beautiful set of old chairs back to life.

New joints have been made, loose spindles repaired and, piece by piece, Colin has worked through the various stages of restoration to bring these chairs back to their former glory.

Skill, patience and craftsmanship go into every piece, giving much-loved furniture a new lease of life while preserving the character that made it special in the first place.

We’re delighted to share that Colin is now taking on restoration projects for dealers and private customers.

So, if you have a much-loved heirloom, a treasured table or a piece that’s seen better days, why not get in touch and have a chat? Work can be carried out in situ, collected or dropped off.
