Enjoy a Caribbean themed day of festivities in Braintree this weekend.

George Yard Shopping Centre will be hosting Black Eagles and playing Caribbean music at their beach under the bandstand.

Enjoy vibrant performances, infectious rhythms and a fantastic atmosphere that's perfect for the whole family. Whether you're stopping by for one show or staying for the day, it's a great way to celebrate summer with live entertainment and plenty of fun.

ALL ABOARD! 🚍

Do you have any bus or transport obsessed children?

They will love the Zero2 Bus Museum in Great Yeldham which is open Wednesdays as well as weekends over the summer period (until 2 September).

The museum has over 60 buses in total to explore with buses from the 1930s and decades since set to bring fascination to adults and kids alike!

Open 10am to 5pm at Poole Farm in Great Yeldham. There is plenty of parking on site and the museum is fully wheelchair accessible and dog friendly.

If you don't drive or would like to add even more magic to your day, you can catch the 721 bus route from Braintree Station and the museum via Gosfield, Sible Hedingham, Colne Valley and The Oak. £8 adult return and £6 child return.

The Four Colnes Show is this weekend on Saturday 15 August at Earls Colne Recreation Club from 11am to 10pm

Enjoy an indoor exhibition, inflatables, stalls, live music, food, bar, arena show and more.

WITHAM SUMMER FAYRE! 😎🌞🌻

Witham Town Council is hosting a Summer Fayre on Saturday 22 August!

This brand new free event is being held on the River Walk between Bridge Street and Maldon Road.

It will feature 80+ stalls, fun games, local artists, mobile zoo, children's entertainer as well as a cake competition and biggest vegetables competition for Witham residents.

If you're looking for a fun summer fair to enjoy, be sure to mark this on your calendar.

SUMMER FILM CLUB 🎬🍿🎞

Want to watch some cult films and support your local entertainment venue?

The Institute Braintree is running a Summer Film Club, showing classic films every Thursday for just £6 online and £8 on the door - with money raised helping to keep The Institute open and providing entertainment!

The film will start at 7:30pm. Doors will open at 6:45 giving you time to get a drink and snacks.

TEDDY BEARS PICNIC! 🧸

Kinder Essex and Active Braintree Foundation are hosting a Teddy Bears Picnic at Zero2 Bus Museum on Wednesday 5 August from 11am to 3pm.

There is free entry to the picnic area, bring your favourite teddy bear and a picnic.
