✨ Flowers grown on the Edge of Epynt in September

✨ So much colour is still bursting out of the borders

✨ Despite a dreadfully challenging season with one of the worst droughts in UK history, the garden is still performing

✨ It’s amazing what can be grown on a hill farm where our lowest ground is 865ft and the highest (close to where the Peonies are) is 1100ft high 🌸

As my last full-on season nears an end, there’s finally time for life outside of flowers 🥳🌸

❤️ A trip to London with Mr D to explore:

- The Imperial War Museum (incredible!)

- The Rest is History Live at the Southbank Centre (the ultimate for history geeks like me!)

- Tapas, drinks near Westminster and lots of walking in the sunshine. Bliss!

💧 Thank you so much to all of our wonderful visitors today who donned their waterproofs and dodged the showers here today 🙏🏻 And nowhere does showers like Epynt 😂

✨ We were so thrilled with the turnout ❤️

🌸 The flowers are certainly looking well-watered now!

🌸 That’s it for visits this year, although private tours for groups of more than 10 people are still welcome. Please get in touch to book your date

Anyone coming to see us tomorrow at our last Powys NGS Open Garden tomorrow Sunday 30th August, please be aware that the ROAD IS CLOSED FROM UPPER CHAPEL.

Please find us via the road from Cradoc, through to Battle, then Pontfaen and finally to Yscirfechan nr Merthyr Cynog 👍🏻

12-5pm Adults £6 Children FREE

🌸 As I make a beautiful, seasonal funeral arrangement using a chicken wire mossage

🌸 Funeral work is always special & poignant but this one had a particular resonance as it was for my own beloved Grandpa ❤️

🌸 Featuring Dahlias, Zinnia, Amaranthus, Origanum, Cosmos & much more…

TOP TIP: Remember to soak your mossage really well prior to filling with flowers & foliage and invest in a good mister to keep your arrangement looking its best until the funeral

I’ve come home refreshed and full of inspiration for River Meadow as I get ready to transform the garden over the autumn and Spring of 2027, easing it back into a garden, rather than just cut flower beds 🌸

We’ll open the garden next Spring so you can come and see some of the changes 🌸
