Gill's Girls - Vintage Style Homewares vintage and retro style homewares and gifts The business was started in Oct 2011 and was named after Gill their mum, who sadly died in 2010. Sarah x

Sisters, Sue and Sarah who have a passion for Vintage, had set up their own local business selling new, Vintage and Retro Style Homewares. She left them a little money which was used to buy some stock. In the main business has been via home parties and local events, meeting some lovely people along the way. At the beginning of 2014 Sue decided to take a well earned break for a while and so Sarah, with a little help of some good friends decided to continue with the vintage vibe of Gills Girls for the forthcoming future. She will continue to pull together a variety of items from various sources ensuring they compliment the established vintage and retro theme. Examples of what is sold are Cushions with a vintage vibe using prints from a nostagic era, Mugs and Chalk Boards by retro designer Martin Wiscombe, and brooches from British designer Acorn and Will. Over the past year many lessons have been learned but overwhelmingly the feedback has been very positive on all the products. Comments such as items are both attractive and competatively priced have been greatly appreciated. Sue and Sarah have strived to update and replace stock to ensure appeal and interest continue. The dream would be to open a small shop where customers can come and browse the vintage vibe items on offer. Sue and Sarah wish to thank their committed customers, family and friends for their support over the past years. This year 2014 is going to be very exciting with the launch of a much awaited web site so customers from all over the UK can access the lovely items on display from their laptop/phone. Events and home parties will continue, and its always been important to Gills Girls to continue to support local charities by attending events and doing their own fund raising by raffels and donations. But overall we hope that the items continue to be appealing and affordable to everyone and for a little business idea to grow and develop into something a little bigger. Anyone looking to get Yankee candles for pressies or treats 😉 my brother in law stall will be at Romford markets on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays opposite the entrance to the arcade. His name is Paul. He has a huge variety of delicious smells. They are £12.99 each or two for £25. Thanks for all those that visited us on Sunday at Billericay Market. We all had a great day and thankfully the weather was kind. Xx

Hello shoppers, Gills Girls will be making one last appearance at this years Billericay Market. This Sunday 4th Dec - starting at 11 am till 5pm the High St will become one huge Christmas Shopping Event. We will be selling off stock at low prices and we have lots of wonderful Yankee Candles too. So look out for us opposite Prezzo and come say Hi.

Set up at Basildon today. It's warm! I've bought a fan to keep me cool - always prepared! You may notice in this pic stock is dwindling. I've taken the very difficult decision of shutting Gills Girls this year. It's been lots of fun and learning, and a difficult decision. I've met some wonderful customers and super talented traders.
It's time for me to do something different - what that is I'm not exactly sure yet 🤔. I'm spending the summer with the family, then in September I'll be searching out a new venture. Thank you for all your support over the past 4 years it's been a blast. I'll still pop up until these lovely items have found a good home. With love have a great summer. Sarah. X
