I heard there was some hot weather in Scotland, here's one to remind you of the cold. I came across this on a notecard. Does anyone recognise where it is?? I have no idea... It maybe just came out of his head. The structures looks like something he would build himself 😊

Artist's daughter writing
Today, the 25th of June, was Dad’s funeral in 2014. Tomorrow, the 26th, would have been his 88th birthday.
I like to celebrate him in June so I put together a wee video of his portraits over the years. I can already feel him cringing about it. He was never one for being the subject. He much preferred to be the one holding the brush.
But here he is anyway. A life well lived.
Happy Birthday Iain Webster!

June is the month I get to celebrate my Dad, Iain Webster. His death anniversary, Father’s Day and his birthday all fall in the second half of June. This month it’ll be 12 years that he’s been gone. In honour of him and his special month you can view his legacy artwork on the gallery storefront I created on Fourthwall earlier this year. For the month of June use the code DUMYAT15, after the hill he loved and painted countless times, and where we lost him. You’ll get a 15% discount on greeting cards and framed prints. The link in the comments adds the discount to your cart for you. Also, if any of you happen to be taking a wee hike up there, please post your photos of “The Tree” in the comments.☺️

Artist's daughter writing.

Thanks to my Dad's work colleagues, this little gem has found its way to me....

Viewforth, Stirling, 1993. Frank's retirement, with my dad Iain Webster beside him (both in the centre, Iain on left). Dad followed Frank into retirement a few months later.

Look at that wallpaper. Look at those iconic windows. A building that no longer exists, full of people who spent a chunk of their working lives inside it.
