Science Fiction Collectables was founded in 2005, selling online and at events. Despite the name, we're more than just a sci fi shop. We like to think of ourselves as a pop culture shop but we most often get called geek shop, along with comic shop, game shop, nerd heaven and favourite shop in town – all of which probably give you a fair idea about us. Not only do we sell classic and contemporary s

cience fiction products, ranging from H.G.Wells up to the latest, weekly American comics, but also products based on fantasy, horror, anime, video games and general film and TV, as well as plenty of tabletop games. We sell a wide range of brands and licenses - far too many to list, but to name a few, we sell the likes of Hasbro, Funko, McFarlane Toys, Marvel Comics, Abysse Corp and Viz Media. We sell licenses that have been around for decades, such as Batman, Monopoly and Disney, on through the likes of Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars, My Little Pony, Pokemon and Harry Potter, right up to current favourites such as Stranger Things, My Hero Academia and Cards Against Humanity. Services we can provide include:
- comic subscriptions
- ordering of comics, graphic novels, books and select other items
- postal delivery (secure payment by credit/debit card or Paypal; Postage and Packaging charges apply)
- click and collect (secure payment by credit/debit card or Paypal).

This is to limit reseller activity in favour of genuine collectors, and has been introduced following customer feedback.

We have buyer limits on Pokemon and other trading card games in order to help as many of your fellow TCG enthusiasts as possible.
Customers found to be abusing the limits will be refused service now or in the future.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, including any person we suspect of attempting to circumvent our limits.

We're saddened to learn of the recent passing of an old friend, and a colleague in sci fi retail. Some of you will have known Kristian Barry, owner of Cardiff's Comic Guru.

I first met Kris nearly thirty years ago, well before either of us had our own businesses, at a science fiction convention in Cardiff where he was one of the organisers. It would be the first of numerous conventions and collector fairs that we would both attend, whether selling or as fans.

Kris was one of those affable people that one could happily spend hours just chatting to. (More than likely, at some point in the conversation he'd break out his Tom Baker impersonation, which he'd gotten down to a tee, facial expressions and all.) As such, his shop was a welcoming place to hang out and to talk to complete strangers about common interests, and in turn become friends.

The photo of Kris, one I've always liked even if it is a blur, is from the 2012 Cardiff Comic Expo, at which we were both selling.
