Ben’s immaculate Giant TCR in with us today for a case of the dreaded fully integrated headset woes. Customer had a front end creak and sadly during some routine home maintenance to try and cure it, one of the O.E headset bearings fell apart in situe. Whilst virtually a brand new bike we advised the customer the best resolution for this would be to strip & rebuild with an Enduro stainless bearing kit and all associated consumables.

Adam’s Norco Fluid VLT with us today for a huge custom wheel build package and seatpost sort out. Being a nimble little fly weight e-bike we were tasked with shedding as much unwanted rotational mass as possible to really liven things up on this one. Step up - DT Swiss’s 350 hubs complete with the new ‘degrees of freedom’ ratchet kit to eliminate some pedal kickback, laced up to the burly-but-light XM481 all mountain rims wrapped in staggered Conti tyre casings. A total weight loss of 480grams over the previous wheel/tyre combo, customer took this one straight from the shop to the local woods and clocked up several PB’s on the first ride.

Brand new Santa Cruz Heckler SL in the workshop today - Customer already had some front end parts stashed away ready to tweak this one up a notch to a slightly bigger hitting bike, we also sorted the Float X shock with the simple compression upgrade kit, fitted customers grips & pedals and of course wrapped the whole bike with a full InvisiFrame kit

Wrapping up July with a bang thanks to another stunning custom build heading out the door for one very lucky customer. This one was technically a frame swap job, with Matt using a previous S-Works bike as a donor, but the only thing we ended up re-using from that was the groupset with a healthy budget for everything else brand new. As we have said before these ENVE chassis’ are just awesome - killer lines, great modern geometry, in-frame storage detail etc. The perfect all-road/endurance road bike for the local somerset back roads yet perfectly capable of putting in a decent shift when it comes to a bit of racing.

Nice to see Adam and his Nukeproof Mega through the shop doors again after some time off the bike. As this ones been in storage for a little while now we got stuck in with a full set of Enduro frame bearings and a big fork & shock overhaul, getting the difficult bits out the way ready for the customer to refresh the gears & brakes at home

Big hitting Airdrop fresh back from Morzine with us this morning. Customer is flying back there in a few weeks so wanted us to sort the bouncy bits & brakes during some downtime ready for another big week in the Alps. As usual all serviced in house with genuine service spares, shock got a nice little reservoir upgrade whilst we had it in bits.

Big hitting super-enduro dream build leaving us today, complete with an even bigger budget to get it over the line. This one’s a serious bit of kit with every single component option ticked off the build sheet with the latest, greatest & very best in current MTB tech. Orbea’s new Rallon chassis is crammed with features straight from the World Cup pits - BB weights, 2x four position shock links for 2x wheelsizes, 2x adjustable headset cups etc - pair that up to a full Sram/Rockshox flight attendant build kit with some very fancy wheels and we have a very capable 180mm travel bike thats just as home doing uplift laps at the bikepark or long days on the pedals.
