Bridgwater Town Team

Bridgwater Town Team comprises of local businesses and local authority and is focused on promoting business in Bridgwater Town Centre.

Our aim is to provide opportunities for businesses to engage and take advantage of the increasing population and make Bridgwater the predominant town centre in Somerset. Town Team includes representatives from:
Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce, Bridgwater Town Council, GPR Traders, Lyndon Brett Partnership, SDC, Small Industries Group, Fine Memorials, Timeless Images, Snug Bookshop, Sedgemoor FM, Mercure Hotel.

Good morning Bridgwater!

The Town Team promised to support Pride in Place wherever we can and these forthcoming events are a vital way that residents of the Bridgwater South area can help shape their future.

Please step up and have your say now at the planning stages to ensure the money is spent in ways you feel will benefit the area.

Next week Pride In Place are hosting our workshops for the community to get involved in shaping the plan for Bridgwater South, so west street, along broadway, around Blake gardens, old taunton road right down to wills road.

Good morning Bridgwater!

The sun is shining and the town team have been feeding in reports that throughout Bridgwater Castle Market there are some gorgeous treats to be purchased today.

Sarah from The Crafty Collective stopped off on her way through Angel Place to say hello to Ron from Big Ron's Cafe and picked up a cheesecake... Is cheesecake acceptable for breakfast? 🤣

It's a lovely day to pop out and see what's available at the market, with the opportunity to combine it with a wander through the town centre shops and perhaps take in a visit to the fair?

Good morning Bridgwater!

We've been a little quiet here of late as we've been busy working on a few little projects supporting one another.

Last week Paul and Sarah spent some time down at the Eastover Indoor Market helping to look at ways that the traders there can work together to promote their businesses. One of the first steps was to encourage them to use their shop window to greater effect. So with a little bit of team work we helped to change things around and planted the idea of getting some display shelving made so that they can showcase more of what they offer.

We love the principle of and by helping one another we continue to show that in every sense of the phrase - always with community at heart.

It's fair to say that the Town Team members work hard, but also like to take time to relax. La Kasia over in Northgate Yard has been a favourite destination this summer for either cocktails in the sun or inside in the cool.

Good morning Bridgwater!

Members of the Town Team are beginning to gear up for Turn the Town pink, which will be returning this October to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

Last year Bridgwater held a really successful campaign and raised in excess of £17,000 for the charity, through local businesses, individuals and community organisations holding events.

It's one of the best ways to show that in every sense.

We kick off with a little heads up of a brilliant event for all the family being held at the Bus Station cafe.

Good morning Bridgwater!

Michelle from Kemps has been out and about again at the weekend.

On Sunday, Michelle and her husband decided to try the Admiral Blake fish and chip shop roast dinner, they ordered the regular roasts and crikey look at all the food, it was all delicious and the meat was really tender and tasty. Michelle's husband made a valiant effort eating his but she had to admit defeat.

But as a doggy bonus they took some home for Floss who also gave it her doggy approval.

Apparently, there were also some lovely looking desserts but on this occasion they were unable to sample.

Another Sunday lunch option within the town that proved a big hit. We love showing you that by applying we can prove that .

It would seem that every day has the potential for learning...

Rose from Timeless Images was out and about yesterday and wanted a coffee for her train journey. She was unaware of the Bold & Brave cafe at the station so stopped off at On The Go Diner at 40 Eastover, TA6 5AR. They're open Monday to Saturday 830am to 1pm and Sunday 9am to Midday. It's another vote for great coffee and local service from one of our independent businesses.
