Bridgwater Town Team comprises of local businesses and local authority and is focused on promoting business in Bridgwater Town Centre.

Our aim is to provide opportunities for businesses to engage and take advantage of the increasing population and make Bridgwater the predominant town centre in Somerset. Town Team includes representatives from:
Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce, Bridgwater Town Council, GPR Traders, Lyndon Brett Partnership, SDC, Small Industries Group, Fine Memorials, Timeless Images, Snug Bookshop, Sedgemoor FM, Mercure Hotel.

Good morning Bridgwater!

Just a little reminder that there are two big events in the town tomorrow

Bridgwater Food & Drink Festival (Town Centre) and The Living History day (Blake Gardens and Blake Museum). Please pop into the town and support these wonderful events - food, entertainment, live enactments, museum tours - there's a little something for everyone. Plus, there's a host of local businesses that would be pleased to see you pop in too!

Quick reminder that today is Bridgwater Castle Market day with market traders in town until 3pm.

Michelle from Kemps is a great cheerleader for supporting local and she's sent through some pics from her visit to The Hungry Caterpillar to pick up some lunch.

We love showing the importance of to show that in every sense of the word.

Later today we meet for our monthly Town Team meeting, a time for support, raising concerns and finding ways to help each other and the community as a whole.

Good morning Bridgwater!

This is your early warning to let you know that this weekend sees not one but two terrific events in the town centre.

Firstly, the Living History Day returns to Blake Gardens. Step back in time and experience history brought to life with an action-packed day for all ages!

Watch thrilling musket firing displays, take part in sword fighting workshops, meet Roman reenactors, try your hand at archery, enjoy live music and discover plenty more exciting activities throughout the day.

Whether you're a history enthusiast, looking for a family day out or simply curious to explore the past, there's something for everyone to enjoy! ⚔️🎶🎯

Secondly, there's a whole host of foodie treats, craft stalls and entertainment from local groups in the town centre for the Bridgwater Food and Drink Festival.

Double the fun ... Double the reason to ... Double the chance to show 🙂

Good morning Bridgwater!

We're checking in with a little reminder that the Bridgwater Castle Market will be open today between 9 and 3, with stalls in fire street and Angel Place. It's the chance to top up on treats for the weekend. Last week Ali from Nice Buns and Sue from Taylor Made popped along to see the lovely fruit and veg man for some fruity treats.

Whilst you're in town don't forget to support the local businesses that trade in the town centre every day. They truly value your support and custom, and it's so important to .

Good morning Bridgwater!

We had a wonderful time at SomerRock last weekend. It was so fabulous to see our hometown community partying in the best possible way.

It was also lovely to see a local business trading at the festival. Terreign Clothing really made a splash with their SomerRock t-shirts and complete outdoor range. The hoodies with the fur-lined hoods and pockets were a particular hit with the town team and a few purchases may have been made!

We love showing how good it is to and prove that in every sense of the word ... The business of last weekend was definitely fun!

Today we'd like to wish Sarah and Dan the very best of luck for the 20th Anniversary weekend of SomerRock. We know how much this weekend means to them both, and how hard they work to make sure that year on year the event just gets better and better.

Tickets are available from local businesses - Soda & Rye, Styles Menswear and The Crafty Collective. Cash only purchases, plus a £1 booking fee per ticket. Or you can head to see tickets to buy online (with bigger booking fees!)

We'd recommend a visit to town to purchase as it's also Bridgwater Castle Market. 😊

Good morning Bridgwater!

We hope you've had a lovely weekend and maybe took the chance to visit the takeover event at Blake Gardens.

For today's picture post we have needed to wait a while before sharing. Steve from Vintage GPR Traders and Bridgwater Castle Market bought birthday presents and treats for his lovely wife Helen all from local traders.

Flowers and gifts from market traders, including something from The Curious Hideaway a new trader. Helen's favourite pavlova made by Ali at Nice Buns and a card from The Crafty Collective, designed by local illustrator Angie Spurgeon.

Good morning Bridgwater!

Michelle from Kemps is one of our best roving reporters, always keen to share the local businesses she's been to and report back on the great service, food or products she's purchased.

Today it's nice to be able to turn the tables. Jess is one of the makers at The Crafty Collective. You can often spot Loony Bloonz balloons in their shop window displays.

Recently Jess realised that her engagement ring needed fixing so she popped in to see Michelle at Kemps. The result is a fully restored ring, put back to its original sparkly glory, all achieved with friendly and fabulous service.

So if you've got a well loved piece of jewellery tucked away at home that needs some tender, loving, care Kemps is the place to go.
