With all the colourful autumn foliage a flowers left at the farm I couldn’t resist getting creative at our local church in Netherbury.

The pink, yellow and orange leaved branches of the Rose, Spindle and Guelder Rose were so laden with berries and hips there was hardly a need for flowers....but it seemed a shame not too!

I had the best day creating this foam free arch in the sunshine and who knew Netherbury Church was such a hot spot for socialising. I met so many lovely and interesting people, a real joy! 😊🍂🍁

Cut before the rain - a bowl of dahlias, roses and rudbeckia... is this the last?

I need to mark all the dahlias I want to keep, that I want more of and the ones that are destined for the boot before they are too hard to identify. I tried to bury my labels this year but the crows still found some of them!

A bit of autumn colour wafting in the wind.

There are still so many flowers in the field I can’t bear not to try and use them as I don’t think they will be around for much longer.

Made practicing my bouquet technique from Brigitte’s course.

Phlox Cherry Caramel is still flowering away and it’s a beauty. It has amazingly long stems this year but some of them are very bendy.

I will try and grow it through netting next year with the aim of keeping them a little more upright! Has anyone else tried this ... does it help?

I found the amazing purple and cream cow parsley leaves at the front of the urn first which inspired the rest of this arrangement.

I’m beginning to understand that the detail and colour in the flowers and foliage are what make me really tick - getting a little obsessed!

Brigitte from is one of my main inspirations and I couldn’t resist signing up to her new online course . I can’t wait to delve into this - just a little excited!!! 😁

This eco friendly funeral wreath is made mainly from rosemary, box, alchemica, straw flower, astrantia and dahlia. It is made on a willow and moss base bound with twine, so is totally compostable and is therefore also suitable for natural burial sites.

I’m busy sowing and propagating more plants for next year and I would like to add to my selection of perennials. Has anyone got any favourite perennials they would recommend from seed?

Still holding on to some summer colour! I love this time of year as the light is so beautiful.

Although the flowers are slowing down it is a busy time as a flower farmer with clearing beds and sowing for next year - I have seedlings everywhere! 🌱
