I've taken the last 2 weeks to do some thinking.
This year has been a crazy one in many different respects. So with the current economic climate becoming more and more challenging, I've come to the difficult decision that I'm going to be closing GoGoEco in December π
As many will know, we spent nearly 3 years building up The Green Weigh our pioneering previous zero waste shop. It took a lot of blood, sweat & tears and when we closed I launched GoGoEco to continue my eco journey. But unfortunately launching & maintaining a new business through Covid has proved too challenging. I guess I've just run out of steam.
GoGoEco has reached a point where it needs me to give it more time, to open up & provide much more accessibility. I've learned a lot from The Green Weigh and this time around, with GoGoEco I've created more space for my children and a little bit of time for myself. Many of you will know I work 2 jobs and to let my primary job go, to dedicate full time to GoGoEco is a risk which- during the current economic climate and rising costs- seems just too much of a risk π£
I'm very aware that I have customers who are committed to reducing single use plastic and I'd like to say a HUGE thank you and a big sorry β€ I hope you can understand where I'm coming from and we're so lucky to have
who offer such a great plastic free service to our community.
I'll still be offering zero waste delivery up until Christmas and there'll be 15% off all stock. I hope you might make a few more orders!
It's been such a journey and a pleasure and I'll continue to be committed to making a better future for my kids ππ¬
I hope that one day soon, plastic free shopping will become a necessity and not just a lifestyle choice. We are in the middle of a terrifying plastic crisis and I hope people understand the scale of this now. Maybe one day, GoGoEco may rise again to help people on their low waste path.
So, with many thanks, peace and love. β€
