I realise I’ve barely shared any photos of actual things we’ve been baking recently!! In all honesty it’s been rather busy here which has meant my time to “faff around and take pictures” 🤭🤣 as our bakers would say, has been rather limited! Parasol serving a very different purpose today! ☔️ ☔️ ☔️ 🤣 we’re currently still open 6 days a week (Monday-Saturday) and will be until some time after October half term, when we will start to reduce our opening hours slightly🥰
Hours will always be up to date on our socials, Google, and on the A board outside the bakery 🥰

Well, we may not have won the scarecrow competition (and what a competition it was - there were sooo many amazing ones!) but our lovely George (Gingerbread version) received a mention in the highly commended category! 🥹 Here he is, proud as punch, waving his certificate around! 🥰
Thanks to everyone in the village for a super fun scarecrow competition and all those who were involved in organising it.
I’ve also attached pictures of a few of my favourites because like I said above, there were SO many good ones!

Have you tried our Bakewell slice yet? 😍 these are absolutely zooming out of the shop at the minute, we almost can’t bake them fast enough! 😄 A buttery pastry bottom is topped with a layer of jam, then we whip up a lovely, light frangipane sponge for the main layer 🥰 a sprinkling of flaked almonds finishes off the topping and, honestly?! What a cake… what a damn fine cake 😍❤️
