Something new from OASIS Floral Products 🤍

You’ll have seen me using OASIS® Renewal® Floral Foam before, but it’s now available in these new pre-cut shapes with the compostable Biolit™ base.

So of course I had to have a play! For this heart I’ve kept things quite simple, using lots of white gypsophila to get that lovely soft finish, then adding a small grouping of ivory roses with those touches of blue.

The Biolit™ base is made from compostable cardboard, and paired with the plant-based Renewal® Floral Foam it’s great to see another option now available for these traditional tribute shapes.

I really enjoyed making this one — sometimes keeping the flowers simple really does let the shape and the little details do all the work. 🤍

This week’s Simply Seasonal 💐

Okay… nobody tell OASIS. 🤫😂

A parcel arrived this week with some bits they’ve sent me for an Autumn/Winter design I’m doing in a couple of weeks. I opened it, saw this gorgeous dark green spotted Kraft paper and ribbon and thought… well, surely they won’t mind if I just try it? 🙈

And obviously “just trying it” turned into wrapping all of this week’s Simply Seasonal in it. 😂

But can you blame me?! I absolutely love the dark green with these pinks, mauves and those deeper autumnal tones. It was just too nice to put away for another couple of weeks.

Jasper popped up for his usual inspection too 🐾😂 He’s becoming less “shop kitten” and more “quality control” by the week.

So OOASIS® Floral Products (UK)… if you’re watching, I promise I’ve still got some left for the actual job. 🤞😂

A little look at how I made this 3ft floral cross 🤍🌸

I started with a 3ft Naylor Base Cross from then worked through the design with a really soft mix of blush pinks, creams and whites.

I love adding plenty of different textures to pieces like this, and those little touches of deeper pink just help break everything up and bring the whole design together.

A traditional funeral tribute, but with a softer, more natural feel — and a beautiful way to create something personal in flowers for a final farewell. 🤍

Come and make this blue and yellow single ended spray with me 💙💛

I started with my foliage, getting that single ended shape in first before adding the flowers and gradually building up all those lovely shades of blue.

Then in went the yellow roses, and I just love what they do to it. That little pop of yellow against the blue makes such a difference and really brings the whole tribute to life.

I’m working into Renewal foam here, which gives me a lovely secure base while still allowing me to get that nice flowing shape through the design.

I really enjoyed making this one — such a beautiful combination of colours for a final tribute. 💙💛

A little wedding spam from E & C’s gorgeous day 💕🌿

And there was definitely a bit of a theme going on here… pink, pink and more pink! 😂🌸

For the bride we made this lovely cascading bouquet, packed with gorgeous shades of pink and plenty of movement — I do love making a cascade!

Then for the bridesmaids we changed things up completely and went green 💚 Lots of lovely foliage, textures and different shapes, and I just love how they looked alongside the bride’s pink bouquet.

And then onto the tables… 60 guests, all sitting together at one loooong table! 😍 We made lots of low arrangements to run right the way down the middle, bringing those pinks and greens together again and keeping everything low enough so nobody had to play peekaboo through the flowers 😂

Such a lovely one to work on and I think the pink and green combination worked beautifully.

BTS of this week’s Simply Seasonal 👀💐

Spotted THESE hydrangeas on my Dutch supplier’s website… well, it would’ve been rude not to 😂🩷

A couple of clicks later and here they are!

A bit of arranging, the usual faffing, then wrapping them up in the brand new 75cm Kraft paper from — which I’m already loving 🙌

And there we have this week’s £20 Simply Seasonal.

Hydrangeas AND new wrapping paper… doesn’t take much to make a florist happy does it? 😂

I absolutely love this time of year for flowers 🍂🌻

For this single-ended spray I wanted to keep everything really natural and rustic, with lots of texture, movement and those gorgeous warm autumnal tones.

The sunflowers really stand out amongst the softer peaches, oranges and yellows, with berries and plenty of mixed foliage bringing it all together. I love allowing some of the foliage to trail naturally too rather than making everything too neat — it gives the design that lovely loose, country feel.

As always, I’m working into Renewal™ Floral Foam, gradually building the shape and adding those little touches until I’m happy with the overall balance.

Such beautiful colours to work with at this time of year, and a lovely natural tribute to create 🍂🤎

A little look behind the scenes at how this blue and white coffin spray came together 💙🤍

I started this one by getting all the shape and movement in with the foliage, then worked through the whites with roses, germini, carnations and lisianthus before bringing in those gorgeous blue delphiniums.

I think that’s the part I love most in this timelapse — seeing how much the design changes once the blue starts going in. I’ve kept some of the delphinium quite long and loose, particularly through the ends, rather than making everything too neat and compact. It gives the finished spray such a lovely natural flow.

And of course, it all starts with good mechanics. I’m using Renewal™ Floral Foam here, which gives me a lovely secure base to create all that length and movement while keeping the flowers hydrated.

I hope you enjoy watching this one come together as much as I enjoyed making it. 💙

Doing things a little differently with this one… 🍂

I usually show you how everything comes together, but this time I thought I’d start with the finished bouquet and work backwards!

I’ve been playing with some pieces from the Autumn range from OASIS® Floral Products, and I absolutely love how all these warm, natural tones work together. The little autumn leaf details are just gorgeous too. 🤎

For this one I used the Autumnal Fall Porto Box, Serena Vase, Autumnal Fall Kraft Paper, Brown Kraft Paper and Autumnal Leaf Ribbon in Brown.

Sometimes it’s quite nice to see what goes into the finished look rather than watching me put it all together!

A beautiful way to create one larger tribute, while still having individual arrangements to share afterwards 💜💛

For this one I went with lots of blues and purples, with pops of yellow and orange to really bring it to life.

Each posy is made separately using plant based Floral Foam Renewal™ and a Biolit cardboard tray, then they’re placed together on top of the coffin so they flow as one complete design.

After the funeral, they can simply be separated again and taken home by family members to enjoy — such a lovely way to share the flowers afterwards.
