Overgate Hospice has been at the heart of the Calderdale community for over 35 years and we are here to help people with life-limiting illnesses. Our aim is to try and improve the quality of life for our patients and help them to live life to the full, to the very end. We do this by offering specialist palliative care, comfort and support, free of charge, to patients and their families. We are an

independent charity, based in Elland, Halifax and rely heavily on funding from our local community to ensure our care is available for future generations.

We’re incredibly proud to share that the Overgate Hospice Charity Shop in Halifax has been shortlisted for Shop of the Year by the Charity Retail Association!

This nomination reflects the dedication, kindness and hard work of our incredible shop team and volunteers, who go above and beyond every day to support Overgate Hospice and our local community.

A huge thank you to everyone who donates, shops, and supports us - you help make achievements like this possible.

The winner will be announced in June, so we’ve got everything crossed! 💙

🚧 We know the roadworks outside may be a little inconvenient, but we’re open as usual and stocked with lots of fresh, exciting arrivals.
Parking is still simple with Bethel Street Car Park and Owler Ings Car Park just a short walk away 🛍️
Plus, don’t forget, free parking is available on Sundays!

Here’s a sneak peek at some of our new arrivals landing in store tomorrow ✨

We’re currently looking for donations of quality ladies’ and men’s clothing, footwear, and accessories. Although the work happening outside the shop may make access a little tricky at times, you can still leave donations at our rear entrance on Ship Street near Brighouse Market. 👗

You’ll also find us just a few minutes’ walk from both Owler Ings Car Park and Bethel Street Car Park.

Here’s a sneak peek at some of the latest styles recently added to our rails.

🚧 There’s currently some disruption outside due to the Brighouse roadworks, but we’re still open as usual with lots of lovely new arrivals waiting to be discovered, perfect for summer holidays, special occasions and sunny days ahead 🌼✨

We are open today with lots of new arrivals arriving daily and fresh finds added to our half price rail 🛍️✨

We are currently in need of donations of premium ladies’ and men’s clothing, shoes and accessories. Due to the work taking place outside the shop, access may be a little difficult at times, but donations can still be dropped off at our backdoor located on Ship Street by Brighouse Market.

We are also just a short walk from both Owler Ings Car Park and Bethel Street Car Park.
