Another amazing day back at Ponderosa Zoo! 🙌🏻

We had Ry&Rae next to us today selling loads of cute Croc charms… although I think Nicholas found a slightly bigger pair of Crocs to go with them! 🤣🤣 Seriously, how BIG are those?! 😂

Believe it or not, we’ve never actually owned a pair of Crocs before, although I did get two of the mini McDonald’s ones yesterday, so I suppose that technically counts? 🙈🤣

Nicholas also picked up some axolotl crystals from CoJoBe Crystals, who were here two weeks ago too. He got on really well with them last time, so he was very happy to see them again today 🥰 Hopefully we’ll keep bumping into them at some of the other events we do, one of the nicest parts of doing these markets is getting to know the other stallholders and seeing familiar faces again ❤️

All packed up and home (well, Smyths toys looking for more beyblades 🙈) now. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, had a look, bought something (and given us custom orders to make) or just came over for a chat! 💕

Nicholas got dragged into a fabric shop while we were in Liverpool today and I came away with these two pretty prints.

I honestly have no idea what I’m going to make with them yet, but they were just too pretty to leave behind! 🙈😂

The bright pink floral immediately caught my eye, but the red floral looks so classy too. The photos really don’t do it justice, it’s even more beautiful in real life, with such lovely colours and detail.

Now comes the fun part, deciding what to turn them into! 🤔

Morning dilemma, what shall I make today? 🤔🧵

I’m sat here with a cup of tea, waiting for Nicholas to wake up before we go away for a couple of days, and I can’t decide what to make whilst I’ve got a couple of hours.

This little zip bag is something I made last week to keep all my sewing machine cords and paddle together. I absolutely love how bright and colourful the fabric is, and it’s really handy for keeping everything one place.

Career change incoming 🤣🧋

Looks like Nicholas has found himself a weekend job!! He has been learning the art of bubble tea making today at Boba & Squeak 😂

Not sure how long he’ll last before he starts asking to be paid in drinks instead of wages, but he’s giving it a good go! 😂

Little Boss is back on the clock! 😂

After spending 3 days living his best life in Whitby, he now needs to earn some spending money back so he’s hard at work at Ponderosa Zoo until 4pm! 😆

That said, we’re fairly certain any profits will mysteriously disappear on Boba & Squeak’s bubble tea🧋, cakes 🍰 and food from the stalls next to us! 🤣🙈

If you’re visiting the zoo today, come and say hello! 👋🏻 We’ve got plenty of our Miyori favourites, plus there are lots of fantastic other stalls to browse, so it’s well worth a visit.

Catching up on messages after a lovely family day out, and we came across this unexpected invite for Nicholas 😊

For those who don’t know, Nicholas runs the 3D printing side of Miyori (with a little help from his dad on the testing side of things and when the technical gremlins appear 😂). So, to say he was over the moon to receive this invitation would be an understatement.

Even better, as it’s at Monk Bretton Priory with Jolly Good Communities - one of our favourite venues to trade and with an organiser we’ve had the pleasure of working with for many years. We’ve always had such a warm welcome and fantastic time there, so there was no way we’d say no!

A huge thank you for thinking of Nicholas and inviting him along. We can’t wait to be there!🦎

What a day! ☺️

We were the very last stall left packing up because people were still coming over to see us right until the end. We honestly can’t thank everyone enough for all the support today! Every purchase, every lovely comment (I know I say this all the time but I will get our website sorted asap as so many have asked) and every person who stopped for a chat means the world to our little business. 🥹

I was ready to head straight back home and get back to work, ready to do it all over again next Saturday (I do need more hours in a day!), but Nicholas had other ideas! 😂 He was very keen to spend his hard earned ‘minimum wage’ from today before we head off to Liverpool for his tournament tomorrow. I suppose he’s earned it! 🤣

Thank you all again for supporting us and making days like this worth all the hard work we put in. We really do appreciate every single one of you. 🥰

If you’re wondering what to do with the kids over the summer, why not come and spend the day at this lovely little zoo?

We’ve been visiting Ponderosa Zoo since Nicholas was just a tiny baby, and he still enjoys it. It’s such a friendly, relaxed little zoo where you can take your time, hang out at the playground, meet the animals, enjoy the surroundings, and let the little ones explore without the hustle and bustle of the bigger attractions.

We’ll be here with all of our Miyori goodies for the next five Saturdays, so if you’re visiting, please come and say hello! 👋🏻 We’d love to see familiar faces and meet some new ones too - thanks for all the new followers from today too.

Enjoyed making this tote bag this evening and I’m quite pleased with how it’s turned out!! 😊

It took me around 3 hours from start to finish, with plenty of measuring, sewing and the odd bit of unpicking! 🙈🤣

There’s something so satisfying about seeing a pile of fabric transformed into something beautiful and practical. Handmade always takes a little longer, but I think it’s worth it. 😉 Going to use it when we are off fossil hunting at Whitby tomorrow 🌊

🦆 Another Duck Race? Of course we said YES! 🦆

It’s our honour to receive an invitation to join another fantastic community duck race this year! When the message came through, we checked the diary and luckily we had that weekend free still, so it was an easy decision! 😍

We’ll be joining the 42nd Annual Holmfirth Duck Race on Sunday 5th of July and we can’t wait! Best start making now as we have sold out of so many items. 🙈😅

After that, from mid July onwards our diary is absolutely packed, so we’re making the most of this last available weekend before the busy season begins! 🎉

We’ve been attending fairs, markets and charity events for over 10 years now, and there are a handful of events that have become annual traditions for us, the ones we simply wouldn’t miss. It’s always such a privilege to be invited back year after year, and we’re incredibly grateful to every organiser who supports small businesses like ours. ❤️

If you’re organising a charity event, school fair, community festival or fundraiser and you’re looking for unique stalls to attend, we’d love to hear from you. We always enjoy being part of events that bring local communities together.
