🤗 I’ve been a little quiet on here lately… but Paint & Pause certainly hasn’t. 🎨

So here we are, all our Brightlingsea dates from now until Christmas. 👀 ✨

If you’ve been thinking about coming but haven’t quite taken the plunge, consider this your little nudge.

Come because you need a couple of hours where nobody needs anything from you.

Come because you’d like to do something creative again.

Come with a friend for a different kind of evening together.

Or come completely on your own, lots of people do, and you won’t feel like the odd one out.

There’s no expectation to be artistic and absolutely no pressure to create something “good”. We paint, chat, have a cuppa, try things out and enjoy having two hours to ourselves.

Dates until Christmas are:

£25 first session : including your own art journal and all materials
£20 returning guests

🎨✨ Last night was exactly what I hoped Paint & Pause would be. 🎨✨

A room full of new faces who, for a couple of hours, put everything else to one side and just enjoyed painting together. There was lots of chatting, plenty of laughter and a really lovely atmosphere.

Were our fish perfect? Definitely not.
But that was never the point. It was about taking some time for ourselves, trying something different and enjoying being creative without any pressure (we even did some practise taking the pressure away from ourselves).

Seeing everyone leave smiling and hearing how much they enjoyed the evening reminded me why I started Paint & Pause in the first place.

Thank you to everyone who came. I can’t wait to see some of you again, and hopefully welcome a few more new faces next time. ✨🎨✨

✨🎨😴 Feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or like you’ve forgotten to make time for yourself?? Paint & Pause isn’t about creating perfect art…

It’s actually about switching off the noise for a couple of hours, enjoying a cuppa, meeting lovely people and giving yourself permission to slow down to improve your wellbeing.

No prior experience required. No pressure. No judgement whatsoever.

Just gentle watercolour painting, journalling, relaxation and a cosy atmosphere designed to help you recharge.

Many guests arrive saying they’re “not creative” and leave feeling calmer, lighter and surprised by what they’ve created.

Missing tea - just an update on the missing tea from Tuesdays session. It turns out I’d put it in a “safe place” in one of the kitchen cupboards 🤷🏻‍♀️ mystery solved!

🕯️✨🎨 I’ve got a birthday candle that smells absolutely incredible and I can’t wait to light it for our session tonight - I couldn’t not share it with you. It’s going to be a very cosy evening. ✨

Tonight was the final Paint & Pause session of May

Such a lovely evening of painting, chatting, slowing down and taking a bit of time for ourselves. I’m so grateful to everyone who has come along and supported these cosy little evenings 💛
