It has to be sunflowers for August! 🌻

I usually take things a little easier in August, but as the year got off to a slower start than I’d hoped, I’m making the most of the summer and getting out to a few more events. So, you lovely bunch can come and find me at these special markets this month. ☺️

🌻 Saturday 1st August
I’ll be back at the lovely Midhurst Artisan Market with Midhurst Town Council. It’s always such a friendly market, and you’ll find me in the Old Library from 9am–2pm.

🌿 14th–16th August
I’ll be at Sheffield Park with The Maker's Fair and Sheffield Park and Garden, National Trust. This is a new event for me, but I’ve visited Sheffield Park many times and it really is one of the most beautiful places to spend a day. If you’ve never been, I can’t recommend it enough!

Today was all about turning fabric into Lampshades. 💫

It’s been a bit of a production day in the studio, but seeing them all lined up at the end makes it worth every minute. Some are for orders and some shall be heading out with me to my August markets.

Thank you so much for your orders. I really do appreciate each and everyone, I know it’s not easy out there.

A day on my kitchen table. I do like to take over the house when it comes to my creative business! 😆

From a flat piece of fabric to a finished lampshade… here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at today’s making on our kitchen table.

Every lampshade starts with one of my original hand-painted and hand-collaged designs, before being carefully made by hand in my studio (kitchen table). There’s something so satisfying about seeing them all lined up at the end of the day, ready to brighten someone’s home.

Summer is definitely my favourite season for eating outside. Who else loves eating alfresco?…..

Whether it’s breakfast in the garden, a picnic with the family or an evening BBQ with friends, I love a table that’s full of colour.

Every napkin I make starts with papers that I’ve painted and printed by hand before they’re transformed into the fabric designs you see here. It’s a slow, creative process, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Every napkin is designed, printed and beautifully handmade in cotton all here in the UK. They wash beautifully too!
