Evening Folks.
Unfortunately I've been feeling unwell, nothing catching, and progress has a bit slow.
I've been back at the table again creating more leaves.
Inspired by the autumn berries that are out at the moment I'm working on a new necklace.

My leaf inspired necklaces
I really enjoy creating this style of necklace, even if it is a bit fiddly.
It's well worth it for the effect.
I like the way the leaves suspend from the chain like a fringe.

I've spent an enjoyable afternoon creating polymer clay leaves, inspired by nature walks.
I like to put a colourful, creative twist to my leaves. I'm inspired by nature, not trying to replicate it.
The work can be a wee bit fiddly, but I kinda like that. I just put on a good podcast or YouTube video and I'm away. Today it was "Reading the Past" by the wonderful Dr Kat.
What's your favorite podcast/YouTube channel.

Whether you call it Gaia, Magna Mater or evolution, when it comes to creativity, nature's got us beat.
It's been inspiring humans for millenia, through music, sculpture, poetry and art.
It's no coincidence that the first art produced was of animals.
I'd love to be able to paint, to capture the natural world in all its many guises.
Instead I walk among it, photograph it and hug a tree.

I'm so proud of this necklace. Each bead is handmade in polymer clay and linked to the next one. It took a while to create, but well worth the effort. 😻
