Elton John and Millie Jackson - Act Of War. Remember this? Banging 80’s track with some energy! 🔥 I was just tucking Elton’s greatest hits to bed and I spotted this. How could I refuse?! 😂

Elton John - Greatest hits. I thought I’d show Elton some love tonight… Not like that! 😂 Master song writer, damn good singer and musician. As you can imagine, it has a nice selection of Elton’s earlier tunes. I was stuck for something to listen too and I thought I’d throw this on!✌️

Run-D.M.C. - Tougher Than Leather. It not been that long ago since I spun this and it’s so good I had to put it on again. I have always been a fan of Hip Hop and Rock music and Run-D.M.C were masters of blending the two and using some sick samples. Produced by the group members themselves alongside Davy D. and Rick Rubin, The album was released in tandem with a 1988 crime film of the same name, Tougher Than Leather. Directed by Rick Rubin and distributed by New Line Cinema, the movie starred Run-D.M.C. and features appearances by the Beastie Boys. The narrative follows the group investigating the murder of a friend while navigating the New York music scene. Unlike their musical catalog, the film was widely panned by critics and failed at the box office.

Kool & The Gang - Twice As Kool (The Hits of). Twice as Kool? ALL the Kool!! Following on with my slightly battered funk albums.. I love me a compilation album and I love me some Kool & The Gang. This has all the hits, there’s no way in hell I’d pass this up, just because the sleeves a bit mank. The records play flawlessly too. 👌

Bootsy's Rubber Band - Bootzilla. This is a funky ass track. Not sure why Bootsy thinks he’s Fred Flintstone on this, but ok! What’s cool about this single, is that although it has a little damage, it is actually signed by the man himself. I did not have it signed and my name isn’t Dave either, but I thought it was cool and definitely needed it in my collection! 😂

ABBA - The Arrival. I don’t even care I love ABBA. I believe that if you don’t like ABBA there’s something missing in your soul! 😂 What is not to like?! This one has a few of the big hits, but of course still a quality album. Originally released on 11 October 1976, it is widely considered the group's first definitive classic album, it marked their transition beyond bubblegum pop into a mature global force and was the first to feature the famous mirror-B logo!

Walter Carlos - Sonic Seasonings. Has anyone heard this album? Quite experimental! Walter Carlos, now Wendy Carlos did the music for “A Clockwork Orange”, “The Shining” and “Tron”. You can imagine the type of sound pallet. It’s like a sonic synthesised representation of the seasons and I have to say, I quite like it! ✌️
