Another glimpse into our home 📸 “Chinese Girl” by Tretchikoff has always been my favourite midcentury piece. In fact, Tretchikoff’s artwork probably kickstarted my love of all things midcentury! Colloquially known as “Green Lady” this painting was mass produced via print and subsequently became one of the bestselling artworks of the twentieth century. As a result, it fell out of favour for many in the 1980s and they could be found at carboots far and wide, along with half dead terrariums in massive carboys! Both of which are loved by most people obsessed with 1950s-1970s style!
