As the heatwave continues, my mind wanders to the days I spent dozing in sand dunes at Walberswick, Suffolk and I crave scents that evoke that smell and memory. THOMAS DE MONACO PARFUMS and the perfumer have managed to create the most perfect replica of that feeling in Grand Beau. The fragrance is woody, aromatic and slightly aquatic. It’s not a fragrance of the sea, but of the essence of coastal air, of hiding in sand dunes under pine trees, with the waves crashing in the back ground. You can smell the driftwood and the florals near by and own sun warmed,and musky skin. This scent is a day at the beach but one with eyes closed, dozing in the shade, all of the smells and sounds merging as one sensory experience.

After a few weeks of literally being non stop with meetings with brands and incredible customers it is clear we need to expand. Therefore plans are being made for Wild Iris 2.0 , Salon De Parfums. 😍. There will of course be lots more wallpaper, antique units and mid century furniture.

I have just had the most perfect weekend ever. It started on Friday celebrating my daughter’s graduation, with a few tears. Pride weekend was everything and more; positivity, unity and celebrating the wonderful diversity of people we have in Brighton and much further. BORNTOSTANDOUT® hosted a Pride party with us, which was just incredible, being surrounded by perfume friends old and new. People spritzed the samples being handed out, drank cocktails supplied by Ghost Labs and danced in the street to some wonderful disco from our DJ’s Ian Masterson and Andy Simms. I loved watching passers by just spontaneously starting to dance in the street. North Road really came alive. Looking through the photos taken by the exceptional Sorcha Bridge you can see the glorious faces and outfits. Brighton and BrightonPrideOfficial you made me feel so happy I live in this wonderful town. Humanity at its best. Thank you to everyone who purchased a bottle of fragrance or donated directly to The Sussex Beacon, we are so grateful to you.

Neo Eden from THOMAS DE MONACO PARFUMS blends fruit, flower and futuristic notes, to create a strikingly unusual scent. The rhubarb note gives a tart, electric acidity, with the frosted peach giving the contrast of cool juicy sweetness. At the heart is floral luminosity provided by the magnolia and mimosa. The magic is in the base with the cream note to soften everything and adds a deliciousness with modern futuristic molecules expanding this even further. The effect is like a wonderful swirling, slightly futuristic rhubarb crumble. Augustin Lemiere has created a wonderful and complex fragrance.

Each fragrance has the term, Millésime used as a description. It might be a word more associated with wine but it means, ‘produced exclusively from that year’s harvest’. Which is why each of the three fragrances from Danner Fleming are so unique and incredibly special, each scent is produced in strictly limited numbers, dictated by that year’s cultivation and harvest of each variation of Iris. Iris Trousseau selection 2026 is Ltd to 711 bottles.

Iris Trousseau 2026 has been created by with 2.5% overdose of Iris which gives it this incredible maximum powdery elegance. It is creamy and soft with a beautiful floral- woody nuances, it is a very sensual bo***ir fragrance.

The variety of Iris used and extracted is Bavarian Iris germanica Danner, probably the strongest variety in the world which helps provide Iris Trousseau with that exceptional creamy powderiness. There is also a hint of violet leaf which helps provide the slight greenness but also a hint of vintage lipstick, which I can’t get enough of. There is such a real warmth and richness at the base but the powdery, silky orris note remains. The over all feeling is a scent that is so elegant on the skin but also has a secret depth giving it longevity.

During Esxence in Milan, I was lucky to be able to sit in a shaded bar outside of the main venue and talk with Marcel Fleming and Theresa Höß of . This time away gave us a chance to discuss at length, the magical process involved in producing their three Iris fragrances, which is from field to fragrance. This is true slow perfumery and the love for each stage shows through in every word they say.

Every Iris is cultivated, harvested, processed and transformed into perfume by the people who grow it with master perfumer , who creates extraordinary scents that have an overdose concentration of Iris. Instead of the usual concentration of between 0.1 % and 0.5 %, these have between 2.5% and 4.1% concentration. Each fragrance production is limited to the yield of the year’s harvest making each bottle and fragrance rare with each bottle individually numbered. Each bottle comes with a Rhizome and a sample of the fragrance itself.
