Following 2024’s euphoric ‘Dance, No One’s Watching’, the soaring jazz group’s new album offers a more personal & conceptual affair, mirroring the continental uprooting of Black people through its 3 movements that guide us from Africa, through the Caribbean, & dropping anchor in London.

Synthesizer odes to Philodendrons, Pothos, Spathiphyllums, Begonias and the Spider Plant. This one really is a trip!

As part of the album’s fiftieth anniversary celebrations with Sacred Bones, the custom Dinked Edition International edition includes a plant journal, encouraging avid listeners and aspiring botanists to log plant growth and the positive effects of this quite sublime album. Whether it will categorically improve the quality of your green friends, we can’t say, but it will create a good vibe and that ain’t gonna hurt anyone.
