When Sunday workshops turn into a reunion and a well deserved catch up 🥰

Thank you so much to our two lovely customers who came to spend their Sunday morning with us and learnt how to hand-knit their super chunky blankets ready for the colder season ahead!

What amazing creations you went home with, it was like you’d done this 100 times before.

We have our pumpkin and Christmas pudding workshop dates announcing within the next couple of weeks, so be sure to keep your eyes out for those.

Something a little different coming this August…
Teddybear spa! 🫧

Bring along your cuddly toy friends for a well deserved pamper. This includes a clean and any small repairs.

Prices start from £10 per bear. For any further info, pop in to the shop and ask one of our wonderful staff members for more information.

The latest scary but cute commission hot off the hook 🦈

Made without a pattern (classic Georgie 🙄) but using James C Brett Huggable in grey, some recycled plastic bottle stuffing and some giant safety eyes all available to buy in the shop!

Want to make your own? We have a large array of crochet patterns in the shop to follow, and some gorgeous squishy yarn.

Want one but can’t make one? Get in touch, we take on commissions!

If you’ve answered ‘YES’ to any of the above, we would love you to help us with the latest charity event.

We’ve signed up to be part of the Big Knit, run by Bristol Age UK, and we know we can count on you to help.

Please find attached a variety of different patterns to make some of these hats for the Innocent Smoothie Bottles, have fun creating, and then drop them to our collection point in the shop.

Please note: there are plenty more of these patterns online if you google ‘innocent smoothie big knit hat patterns’.

There are patterns for all abilities! You can even make up your own pattern. The more fun, the better!

We are very much involved this year!

We will be holding Knit & Natters dedicated to this cause, Knitathons, Crochethons and pop up shops from October in the hopes we can beat the Bristol target!

We have some FABULOUS news! The Innocent Big Knit will be coming back this October! 🧶

This wonderful campaign doesn't officially start until October, but we are keen to get knitting away early. We are upping our target massively this year 🎯So it's needles and hooks at the ready!

CHANGE OF OPENING HOURS THIS WEEK ☀️

Due to the very high temperatures we will be experiencing this week and a shop with glorious big south facing windows and no air-con… we will be closing at 1pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, however we are also expecting you all to stay safe and cool indoors so hopefully this won’t impact many of you.

Look what’s on the table in the shop today!

Our volunteers are busy creating intricate lace today.

UK lace-making dates back to the 16th century, when handmade bobbin and needle lace became popular among the wealthy. Areas like Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Honiton in Devon became famous for their skilled lace makers. During the Industrial Revolution, Nottingham became the world’s leading centre for machine-made lace, helping turn a luxury craft into a major British industry.
