The Stitching Seal

The Stitching Seal Handmade modern crochet items, including commissioned pieces, made with love If these are ever used they will be clearly labelled on my page.

Hi and welcome to the Stitching Seal, thanks for taking the time to have a look at my page. Just a few things I'd like to let you know-
I make all my items myself, by hand using mainly acrylic and man-made fibers. I dont usually crochet using wool or natural furs, purely because of my own ethical beliefs. I create all my items at home. I have a smoke free household but I do have pets. Whilst every

effort is made to ensure pets are kept away from my items, I only have limited space to live and work in. If you have allergies, I would advise you wash any items you purchase before using them. I dont wash items I make before selling them as people also have allergies to certain washing liquids. If you have any questions or queries please feel free to get in touch. Simarlarly, if you're looking for something specific which you can't find available on my page then you're welcome to request items made-to-order and I will do my best to accommodate your requests. Again, thank you for visiting my page, please feel free to like and share as much as you fancy.

When I heard Sirdar were doing an Autumn 🍂 themed CAL (Crochet Along) I knew I wanted to take part. Ive done a few CALs in the last couple of years but seeing as Autumn is my favorite season, I signed up straight away.

Last Wednesday was the first installment and I've just about completed this weeks crocheting..... and sewed in A LOT of ends....

I hope that not every week has this many ends to sew in!

If you want to take part yourself, head over to -

How is everyone feeling today? Did you get any sleep? I am totally over the heatwave now and im looking forward to some nice normal 25ish degree weather.

Its happened earlier this year, I usually make it until September before hoping for crisp autumn weather.... but 3 heatwaves are plenty for me!

Ive made up a few more RAOCKs (Random Acts of Crochet Kindness), this time I've made ghosts so that i can leave them as part of The great global ghost hunt.

I always hope ill find something like this myself but no luck as yet. The question is, where should I leave them?

Morning all,

As im sure you know, we are well into another heat wave here in the South West. If you know me, you know that heat is not my friend so im just trying to ride it out, without getting heat stroke, until the weekend when the temperature is set to drop back to more manage able levels again.
And did you see that storm last night? Scary! So much lightning ⚡️

Unfortunately, when the weather is hot like this, I dont get much done in the way of crochet. The heat and sweaty hands really mess with tension which makes it hard to keep stitches even. Normal service will resume once its cooled down a bit.

In the mean time, tell me in the comments- do you love this heat or (like me) avoid it as much as possible for fear of melting into a puddle?

Stay hydrated and dont forget the sun protection if you go outside! Good luck!

How is it the middle of June already?

Irs almost the middle of the year, which means I need to start thinking about fayres and the run up to C*****mas.

Last year I started my fayre prep in September. This year I might bring that forward a little to August. This means I need to get other projects finished (or at least nearly finished) by the end of next month! And ive given myself extra work too by deciding to make post box toppers. Ive got the next 3 toppers planned- yes, there will be more- so im going to get as much done on them as I can before the fayre prep starts.

Ive also decided to do anothet CAL which starts next month, and ive already got 2 blankets to get finished and who knows how many unfinished projects.

I need to grow an extra set of hands 🤦‍♀️

*resharing my set up from the last festive season and wondering-

❓️What would you like to see again this year ?
❓️What should I change this festive season?

Latest Kingswood Topper is also out.

As you all know, this is a joint effort between Yarn & Yardage and all the YaY Yarn Bombers..... and not to wish away England's chances at the World Cup, but the next topper is already in production!!

Ive heard that foot sacks (h*cky sacks) are back 'in', so naturally I had to make some 😊More colour options coming soon!
