Sometimes you just need to roll with the punches and pivot into a new direction, I'll remake the top into something more in keeping, maybe a wave? What do you think?

Just finished turning this wide-rimmed beauty on the lathe. I wanted to let the natural, rich grain do most of the talking, but I couldn't resist adding those crisp, delicate ring accents to the rim to frame it all in with Hampshire Sheen embellishing paste.

Finishing a blue bowl, Hampshire sheen intrinsic colour set has been a favourite of mine for a long time.

A case of "only more cut" here but I'm happy with the result

Turning the outside is a live edge yew bowl.

Nice to work with a different type of wood today, hopefully when it splits it adds to the overall result.
