To help rebuild damaged coral reefs scientists play recordings of healthy reefs!
A healthy coral reef is full of noise. Reef fish munch, grunt and woop. These noises attract new creatures to the reef and the corals feed on nutrients in fish droppings! Scientists hope the damaged reefs will recover more quickly! Experiments show that playing a recording of a healthy reef attracts twice as many fish to live there!!!!
