Bristol Blue Glass was founded back in 1988 by James Adlington, with the help of glass maker Peter St Clair. The aim was to re-establish a tradition that had been lost for over 60 years - the art of glass-making. Twenty-nine years on, at Bristol Blue Glass, we still endeavour to keep the tradition alive. We develop our makers and their skills as we go, adding new products to our range following customer demand and the tendencies of our Makers. All our work is hand free blown, without the use of molds and although we are most famous for our traditional Bristol Blue Glass, our work also includes our Ruby range and sculptural items. In our friendly Studio Shop you will find a wide variety of art glass in a host of amazing colours. Please browse through our products online or, come and visit our Studio and Shop to watch our skilled and happy Glass makers at work and see unique pieces in the making. We have been imitated by Charlatans throughout our existence and this continues, to this day - beware pale imitations.
