Finally wrapped up this new model, the shape of which was inspired by on an old Kiwi guitar called the Commodore under the brand name of Jansen. Rare as rockin' horse...

This is my H540 Commodore. With various splashes of antipodean flash, along with some modern updates.

24.75" scale 12" radius all mahogany construction, . Light relic nitro finish. Solid and Chmabered available.

This SlimTwin 'Standard' is up for sale.

Mahogany neck (Jimmy Page spec thin') with Ebony board and Sycamore body. Two-tone vintage amber-burst and custom spec Hersey Bar pickups.

Originally this had a Melita-bridge and love the era though I do, I found that bridge too tricky and a sticky point. 🫏

So I remade it with a simple T-O-M on ebony base using the same footprint as the Melita. Different beast entirely. 🐎

custom cast tortoiseshell controls to accent the oversized two-ply tort pickguard.

Oh and the ABM Harp tailpiece is one of the last 5 ever made by the Berlin-based outfit - however, the next SlimTwin will have a B7 a la and maybe even an F-hole.

Light-relic'd all over for the vintage vibe. Hollow, vibrant and responsive - this thang really rolls and rocks.

Jack White rocks too. Always has. 😎

The latest H470 AstroStrat. 🚀 🎸

This is headed to the Munich Guitar Co. in... Munich, Germany.

The neck+ centre block on this is are made of Figian mahogany - a new species to me (CITES regulated), which felt a little lighter and more 'airy'. To balance this, I went with a solid maple neck block to give the guitar more of an 'electric' feel as opposed to hollow-body. Addionally this kept the weight more central and balanced too.

Typical sycamore rippled top+back and maple rims with ebony fingerboard.

M.G.Co requested 59' spec profile for the neck, which is a thicker full 'c' shape. This took me a fair amount of time to make new jigs/profiles to accommodate, and I'm so happy I did. It's the way forward for my guitar necks across the board.

The rest is light-relic'd delights via an ABM T-O-M bridge + 'Diamond' tailpiece and a pair of Teisco Goldfoils wound to vintage spec.

The tone cap on this is a vintage G.E.C. with thanks to .audio and linear control pots to roll off those high chimey retro pickups.

Super happy with this number. Onto the next - maybe with a set of pickups from if I'm lucky! 😀

I'd like some custom control k***s to match for the next one if you're up for the challenge..

Thanks for following my creations. It's just one guy behind these and a no-CNC in sight (as of yet).

First of a few headed to the good folks at . 🚀🚀🚀

This is my H620 Nazaré (V.1 headstock) in Olympic White light relic. The pickups are a pair of custom MojoByrd goldfoils by the one and only , and the bridge is from Berlins very own ABM (the best) with a B5 vibrato tailpiece.

Mahogany body and neck w/ Ebony fingerboard.

I've another of these in the works but it will be the rarest composition of Jet Black light relic w/Red pickguard. If you know you know.

Some relic details on a V.1 Nazaré in Olympic White.

Checking, scuffs, patina nickel hardware, worn chipped pickguard, rusted/odd/missing screws, worts and all.

Big thanks to for his advice and guidance on all this. My partner finds it very amusing how fastidious I am in making each guitar perfect - only f*ck it all up at the end with a rock.

Rock n roll I guess. 😁

Life takes unexpected turns sometimes and so I'll take this opportunity to thank my amazing customers and clients for their patience with me.

It's just one guy behind it all and this year has thrown its faur share of curve balls. 🥴 ⚾️

First out in a while is this Swamp Lightnin with a Morta Wood(Bog Oak) top on a Walnut body, Maple neck and Rosewood fretboard/headstock.

Not bad for 4k year old piece of Oak huh 🫡🪵

Here is my H470 AstroStrat in a 'non-cutaway' incarnation.

Originally, this model was based on the H47 Stratotone that Dan Auerbach/Black Keys used back in the day, splashed with a Kay-style amber-burst finish, Kay Swingmaster pickguard shape and a 'stencil' f-hole.

Many of my guitars are medleys of various classic shapes and compositions that I love.

I had no intention of making a 'non-cutaway' in all honestly, but whilst bending the rims for this one, it felt like the right decision.

Bending wood for a guitar is a patient process that can go wrong quickly and waste time and expensive materials. Soaking the wood for too long before bending can 'blow-out' the grain and leave the relatively thin timber vulnerable to breaking.

On occasion some rims that have been prepped for bending just don't feel like they wanna bend - like this one and so rather than forcing a tight cutaway 'horn' I went with the flow of things and made this instead.

Besides I love those old jazz Gibsons of the 40's.

Here's a recent H620 Nazaré headed to a new home in LA. This one has my V2. headstock (haters gonna hate) in Olympic White nitro, MojoByrd , custom 'top-hat' control k***s which we felt resembled the orginal Fyrbyrd ones. Mahogany body/neck, 22 fret Ebony fingerboard and B5. Loved this one. Plays a dream and with a little more relic work it'll be on it way to it's new recording studio home 🎙🎸🌄
