I'm Lucy Belle and this is my small independent company for creating small kinchaku and bows using imported Japanese cotton and chirimen. I am also starting to expand into making silk kanzashi and other small fabric creations. I will be starting to trade at select conventions in the UK in the near future, if you have any questions feel free to message me!

Hello all!

Apologies for the radio silence, it's been a busy few months in my personal life so I've not been working on any kanzashi projects as of late.

However I am currently working on a fun little commission (secret for now as per client request) but I hope to be able to reveal the finished pieces next week! :)

Only downside is that the "blunt" end of the needle kept managing to puncture my skin so after a few hours my fingers were screaming in protest
Note to self: buy new thimble ;___;

So tonight I tried a new method for making kanzashi, it only seems to work with rounded petals but I'm loving the result...

So tonight I tried a new method for making kanzashi, it only seems to work with rounded petals but I'm loving the results! 🌸

What would you all prefer? Should I keep making the various shapes in my usual style, start make the new rounded style exclusively, or a mixture of both? :)

(These were made using some beautiful kimono silk btw, sorry the potato-quality photo doesn't do it justice!)
