Hello October! 🍂🎃

Yep, October has arrived, and with it comes all the spooky fun…

👻 Trick or Treat Trail wristbands are already flying out the door! If you’re hoping to join the trail, don’t leave it too late - once they’re gone, they’re gone. We cannot wait to see all the ghouls, ghosts, superheroes and princesses around Broadstairs on Friday 30 October!

✨ Kinder Collective turns 3! This year we’re celebrating a little differently, and we can’t wait to share it with our incredible community - because we really wouldn’t be here without you.

🎨 Our much-loved Kinder Craft Corner has had a ghoulish makeover, ready for plenty spooktastic crafts throughout the month.

🕷️ Half-term is also creeping around the corner! And we’ve got a very special storytime and craft session with local author John Condon celebrating his brilliant new book, We Are Fairies🧚 Places are limited, so be sure to sign up.

📚And of course, Rebecca’s regular Tuesday Storytime is still happening throughout term time.

There’s something so joyful about choosing a gift for a new baby, but after having our own little ones (although it seems like a lifetime ago), we know that sometimes the loveliest gifts are the items that make those early days just a tiny bit easier on the parents ✨

We know how much you love Lenny & Loop | INTERACTIVE CHARM BAR 🪩 pop up charm bars at Kinder Collective and how many of you have sadly missed out due to date clashes or distance… So we’re very excited to announce that a fresh drop of ready made, colourful beaded bag charms has just landed in store. And for the first time they’re online too!

We love working with local maker Jess of Lenny & Loop, whose pours her creative talent into these exciting colour combos each handmade by her in Kent. And this latest collection is full of little reminders with lots of meaning behind them 💕

Anyone else not quite feeling ready for autumn yet? But yep… winter is coming! Time to get ready for rainy school runs and outdoor weekend adventures and stock up on autumn wardrobe essentials for the kids!☔️

One of the secrets to happiness as a parent, is keeping your kid warm and dry, and we’ve got your little ones covered, quite literally. It’s finally here - the third book in a firm Kinder favourite by Mikey Please… The Thieves Beneath the Floorboards.

Our MEGA Preloved Sale is coming this weekend! ✌🏼

We’ve had a bit of a clear out to make room for the relaunch of our next preloved collection - and there are some seriously cool kids clothes ready to shop at bargain prices!

Think favourite kids’ brands from Mini Rodini, Bobo Choses to a bit of Zara and Arket. Brilliant condition and prices start from just £4 for tops, shoes are £5 and coats £10, plus plenty more new-to-you gems waiting to be found! It’s like Vinted in real life!

Sizes range from 0-8 years old, all available in our sunshine store on Saturday 12 (9.30am - 4pm) and Sunday 13 (11am - 3pm), so come and have a rummage. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Second-hand isn’t just for September at Kinder Collective - but it’s a good excuse to pause and think about the choices we make for our children and their future.

REDUCE - Buy less but better, and choose brands made to last, be loved and handed down. We’re big fans of LIEWOOD for exactly this reason - durable, practical and built to weather all the storms.

REUSE - Buy preloved wherever you can. Our mega preloved sale is coming up in store on 12 and 13 September as we make room for the relaunch of our latest preloved collection.

We’re also giving the party bags we’ve collected over the years a second life - pick one up with purchase for just 50p.

RECYCLE - We reuse packaging from our deliveries wherever we can, and we’re always incorporating it into our free creative crafts for kids too. Pop into our craft corner and make your own breeze buddy.

UPCYCLE - Got an old or stained T-shirt? Give it a new lease of life with a little tie-dye. Teach kids basic sewing skills, from threading a needle, sewing on a button, and how to fix a small tear. Need supplies? The The ScrapStore @ EKM in Ramsgate is a treasure trove of donated threads, buttons and fabrics. If your own skills are a little rusty, fake it til you make it with an iron-on patch (our faves are Petra Boase)

This was August…

And just like that, we’re in September. The kids are back at school and we’re already looking back and reflecting on what a magical, sunshine-filled summer it was ☀️ The slower mornings, the salty swims, the happy ice-cream covered faces and time spent with loved ones.

We tried to tick off a few things from our Summer Guide this month, but there was simply too much to choose from. Seashore safaris Thanet Coast Project , tie-dye workshops with the coolest BLAST SKATES , crafting bugs with Jess Deacon and then there was the joyful Broadstairs Folk Week - which is always a summer highlight!

So many happy memories made, plenty of adventures squeezed in, and lots of reasons to feel very grateful for this little seaside summer of ours - and our first in the sunshine store 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who visited us in the store. We loved meeting so many new faces and seeing familiar ones too. Our relaunched website has kept us busy packing and delivering some seriously brilliant orders - we’re so happy that even more of you are discovering us and shopping from afar. It’s truly special to know that Kinder is reaching you around the UK. We are forever grateful for your support!
