After a long wait we are delighted to finally invite everyone to book in to our craft club!
Please be aware that we are limited to 8 children per day at the moment, but this will increase as we get our lovely volunteers set up and in place.
Cost of group will be only £1.00 per child, per day.

Just to let everyone know, despite the power cut affecting parts of the village, Brora Village Store CIC and the Post Office are fully operational.

We’re open as normal, with access to:
💷 Cash withdrawals and deposits
💡 Electricity top-ups
📮 Full Post Office services
🛒 Our shop is also open as usual.

If you need anything, just pop in—we’re here to help. 💙

💚 WE'RE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS! 💚

Could you spare a couple of hours or a day or more to help support your local community shop?

We're looking for friendly volunteers to help with:
🛍️ Serving customers in the shop
📮 Assisting with Post Office services
📦 Bringing in deliveries and disposing of boxes
🖨️ Helping with our new printing service
🎄 Extra support during our busy Christmas period
(training provided – volunteers must be 18+ regarding Post Office duties)

What we do is incredibly important to our community. As well as running the village shop, we provide essential Post Office and banking services that many local residents rely on every day. Every volunteer helps us continue providing these vital services for Brora.

Whether you can help occasionally or on a more regular basis, we'd love to hear from you!

For me, Father's Day is a chance to reflect on how much my own dad means to me. He's always been there with support, advice, encouragement and a helping hand whenever it's needed. I know many of you will feel the same about the dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures in your lives. Sometimes the smallest gesture can mean the most.

We’ve become aware of a rumour going around that the Post Office at Brora Village Store CIC is closing.

We would like to reassure everyone that this is absolutely not the case.

We are not closing. We’re continuing to invest in the store, with new shelving arriving soon to expand our range and a printing service launching shortly.

The Post Office remains open and we are committed to providing this vital service to our community. Rumours that we are closing can discourage people from using the Post Office, which directly affects both the service and the store.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please pop in and ask us directly.

After a long wait, we are delighted to finally share that Brora Bairns now has our Lead in place and we are aiming to officially launch the club after the summer holidays! 🎉

This is something we know many local families have been waiting for, and we are excited to finally start bringing this project to life for the children in our community.

At the moment, with one Lead, we can safely accommodate up to 8 children per session. In order to increase numbers and offer places to more children, we urgently need additional volunteers and assistants to join us.

You do not need to commit to every session — any help, experience or support would be hugely appreciated. This is a fantastic opportunity to help create a fun, safe and welcoming space for local children after school.

We are also looking for additional members to join our Board and help support the future development of Brora Bairns CIC.

✅ Online Booking System
We will shortly be sharing our online booking system with parents to allow places to be booked in advance. If anyone is unable to book online but would still like to secure a place, please just get in touch and we will be happy to help.

💷 Session Contribution
To help towards the ongoing running costs of the club, we will be asking for a small contribution of £1 per child per session. This will help towards activity materials, snacks, hall costs, insurance, equipment and general running expenses, helping us keep the club affordable and sustainable for the community.
