It's the Alpacas' favourite weekend of the month, they have been let onto the side of their field with new grass on! We have to keep two sides of the field separate to allow the grass to recover after they graze it as they crop it very close to the ground.
They seem to only take a few days to clear the field though so we have to supplement with Hay even in summer. If we had a much bigger field it wouldn't be such an issue, apart from the grass being incredibly difficult to keep growing in the dry conditions. It is good to see them happily grazing again though.

We are on the lookout for long branches for our dead hedge we are making to separate the two halves of our Alpaca field. We need to split it to give the grass time to recover and the temporary metal barriers are ugly and don't help any wildlife. If you have any you need rid of you are more than welcome to drop them off any day, we will help you unload. Alternatively if you have a lot we could possibly collect, although we can only take what we can use for the hedge, bushes and other foliage we cannot get rid of. (Apologies for the jerky video, I'm no Speilberg!)

We love it when customers send in pictures of their beautiful buildings. I hope we inspired this chap in a small way with our "Pub" on site as he has used his space brilliantly to create a home bar area that looks stunning. The decor and all features work really well in his UK Garden Buildings Dalbury. I raise my glass to you sir!
