Hi everyone, it is great sadness that The Seconders is no more . Due to the rising costs of running the shop and that it was not making enough money to even cover our overheads let alone making donations to the wider community, we have decided to call it a day and close down both the second hand shop and the second hand school uniform shop. We would like to thank everyone who has used our shop over the past 18 months for their continued support. I would also like to take this opportunity to give my heart felt thanks to Lisa Donna Rowley for all her absolutely amazing work over the past 8 months transforming the shops into something amazing. We tried our best and thank you everyone

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your patience

Sorry The Seconders has not been open over the past month or so, we have been busy with other projects.

The good news is that we will be back open from Monday 13th May with new opening hours – Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm.

The Seconders is Broughton Astley’s only Second-Hand shop where all profits are donated back to the community (BAVG, 1st BA Scouts, BA Guides and Broughton Alive).

We are also the Second-Hand School Uniform Shop supplying second hand school uniforms for the main 4 schools (Old Mill Primary School, Orchard Primary School, Hallbrook Primary School and Thomas Estley Community College) as well as Lutterworth College.

This exciting and unusual winter suit is perfect for wearing both at home and outside.

They are very soft and very very warm.

Made from 100% cotton with a soft velvety feel on the outside

And a thick thermal (approx. 1.5 – 2cm) fury feel on the inside.

They are virtually windproof and with the thick thermal padding you won’t feel a thing on those blustery walks. You could go out on those cold frosty mornings and keep that warm snuggly feeling no matter how cold the UK weather gets.

The jacket is hip length with a high collar to keep your neck warm in the wind. A 6-button overlapping fastening to help keep the warmth in and the cold out. The cuffs are not elasticated, so it does not restrict the movement of the hands and wrists. The jacket also has 2 deep pockets with an angled opening, so it is easy to put your hands in to keep them warm too.

The trousers are from waist to ancle so there are no gaps between the jacket and trousers. The trousers has a wide elasticated band at the top so they won’t slip down but are still very comfortable to wear.

Wear these at home while watching or playing games and you could knock your heating down to 5C and not even feel it. These suits are designed for the cold Chinese winter months where Chinese homes do not have any heating (and it goes down to -5C to -10C). They are warm but not bulky and do not restrict your movements and you DO NOT feel like the Michelin Man
