After several months of the day job being crazy busy, it's been brilliant getting back to playing with glass. I did a course at Warm Glass where we experimented with glass powder and silk screening... more pics to follow.

This learning curve thing is all very well, but... well, this is not supposed to look like this! That said, I don't dislike it. There is no way I'll be able to achieve this look on purpose though ๐Ÿ™„

I'm aware that Stitch & Bean has been very quiet recently... this is because I've been experimenting. Not very successfully. ๐Ÿ˜‚. Unfortunately, to get better and make more exciting pieces, clearly I am going to be making a LOT of mistakes.

Each piece takes a lot of time and effort - each section is hand cut (glass is tricky to cut with a fair bit of wastage), then individually ground, cleaned, then layered up before a fuse taking 12 - 14 hours, and only if that is all successful does it go on to be slumped. A lot of steps for errors to sneak in!
So please bear with me... fingers crossed I'll have something to show you this weekend!

Proper photo to follow, but so chuffed to open the kiln to this earlier!
