Last week, we hosted Year 10 Student, Ethan, from Budehaven for a week of work experience in our lighting department.

From prep and de-prep all the way through to delivery of projects, Ethan looked at what it takes to supply lighting and production for a range of events. With an interest in programming, we showed Ethan our GrandMA and Avolites control solutions which he put to the test at a small local concert to us where he was solely responsible for all lighting programming and operating.

For that concert, we supplied a package of Prolights Eclipse FC profiles, StudioCOB FC, ETC Source 4s, SGM Q-7 RGBW and an Avolites Titan Mobile.

We also explored the importance of safety around special effects with our lasers and flame machines.

With the rapid expansion of the company, we’re always on the look for fresh talent and we hope to bump into Ethan again once he finishes school next year.

Last week, we supplied lighting, sound and video services for the annual St Peter's Fair event in Holsworthy.

Audio was covered with a 4 box ground stack of dBTechnologies DVA K5 over a DVA S30N Subwoofer per side. P12's were used for front fill and monitor duties and all handled on a Midas M32 and DL32 stage box.

Lighting saw us using SGM Q-7 RGBW, Pixel Line, Prolight Fusion Spot 200 Zooms and 18T3 and CHAUVET Strike Array 2 Blinders with an Avolites Titan Mobile + Wing and Luminex node on control.

For video, we supplied a ground stacked 4x2M video wall powered by Resolume Arena and Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro.

We’ve had another busy Saturday at The Wyldes supplying a full audio and lighting package for a third weekend.

The stage saw acts such as Omega Nebula, Revelation Roots and Lionstar entertain the crowds for a reggae themed event.

We supplied a dBTechnologies DVA K5, S30N and P12 system for ample coverage of the site all designed through their Composer software.

Lighting saw SGM Q7s, Pixel lines, Prolight Fusion Spot 200 Zooms and Chauvet Strike Array 2 Blinders. Control was handled by an Avolites Titan Mobile and Wing solution.

Last weekend, we supported The Bay View Inn with their second iteration of Talfest - a local fundraising festival in aid of Talan’s Trust. The weekend saw headliners like Joey The Lips and Hong Kong Ping Pong take to the stage.

For this, we supplied a full production package for the three days using 12x dBTechnologies DVA K5 Line Array modules with 4x DVA S30N subwoofers on bass duties.

For lighting, we used 8x SGM Q7s, 4x Prolight Blitzer 384’s, 4x Chauvet Strike Array 2 Blinders, 8x Pixel lines and 8x beams moving heads all controlled from an Avolites Titan Mobile and Wing.

We also supplied site power for traders with help from Cornwall Generator Hire.

We had a great weekend supplying audio and lighting for the first 2026 Wyldes event.

For audio, we supplied 16x dBTechnologies DVA K5 Line array elements with 6x DVA S30N Subwoofers on bass duties.

For lighting, we supplied 21x Pixel Lines, 6x Prolight Equinox Fusion 200 Zoom spots, 4x Sharpy IPs, 8x SGM Q7s, 4x CHAUVET Strike Array 2 blinders and an Avolites Titan Mobile + Wing with Luminex nodes for control.

In the past few months, LDLS have been working with Rushil Ranjan, a London-based composer, arranger and producer, and his team to design lighting for his RR x ARR: Rangreza collaboration show.

After three sold-out nights in The Royal Albert Hall in London, the show then toured to Meridian Hall Toronto, Canada for a further two shows. We provided our GrandMA2 Light and Depence R4 pre-visualisation system for additional programming and a seemless transition between the venues.

With shows later in 2026 and into 2027, LDLS will be providing an additional floor package of lighting fixtures and a GrandMA2 and Luminex control system.

We may have been quiet on social media this year but things have never been busier for LDLS!

Today, we're updating you with some of our new stock that has landed with us in 2026 so far. These include:

- Stock increase of dBTechnologies DVA K5 Line Array, DVA S30N Subwoofers and LVX P12 Point Source Speakers
